you seriously think that homies could, en masse, lift a gun to all the kids in their old hood and take over their hood?

first of all, A, it won't work because the administrators won't be able to sustain an occupation - the boots on the ground just don't have the buy-in.

but second of all, B - look - this administration believed that we'd be greeted in Iraq as liberators. they were wrong about that. if the American military took over the citizens and private infrastructure of America, the world would not quietly watch that from their own seats.

not that I'm saying China or OPEC or Europe got love for us, in fact its pretty much the opposite. but I'm fairly sure that they'd be reaaaal frickin tense if we had a military takeover. embargos - would be the first of many attacks against us. whoever is muttering the stuff compiled in your link, isn't considering that America could get hit by a pre-emptive strike just as easily as Iraq was.

and third of all, C - I just don't see gangsters, tweekers, weird rural hunter types - I just don't see the American citizens rolling over and taking this one up the ass. soccer moms and soft-handed Wall Street lawyer neocon types, maybe... but America's a big, scary, diverse nation. we got a helluva lot more types running around than the dumb crackers they always put on commercials.
