so, on the one hand, unilever is funding this new re-branding to make dove the harbinger of the new "real" female beauty, while, on the other hand, simultaneously funding axe body spray commercials that show super models in their underwear jumping over 17 years olds who smell like cheetos and deodorant.
sounds more like a very good marketing ploy to me.

i like how the final picture looks like a still from the final fantasy movie.
i know super models look fake in ads, but at least they have skin that doesn't look like a beige wet suit!

wow never knew that they took so much effort! My wife only has to put eye shadow and extend her eyelashes out and shes already rawwwrrrrr supermodel maerial!

I wrote a 8 page paper on college about how advertising in girls teen magazines is distorted / altered and its effects on girls self image growing up.

I got a A ;)

They should really just change their slogan to -

"Hey ugly, buy our product!"
Or
"Unilever, makers of Dove and Slim-Fast - Its okay to be ugly, just not fat..."

It is a fantastic marketing technique...
