He couldn't remember when it all began: the visions, the dreamworld crossing over into reality...nothing. Everything was fluid and changing in this new state of being. Anything was possible now, and most often it was proven in the otherworldly manifestation of his powers as an Insomniant. Living in two worlds simultaneously was simply a question of what one really needed: enlightenment or sleep?
Of course, the dark side of this revelation was that one could easily fall prey towards the unconscious tendency to drift into the realm of a Noctambulist. They were known only to be a sort of guardian between the world of the awakened mind and the vast chasm of sleep's domain. There were no enemies here...only the danger in never wanting to wake up. The crow spirits who acted as guides in this realm made sure that he knew that he was still human enough to leave the dreamworld at any time...
