Twas lovely to get out of the city for a bit and get a bolt of sunshine! Danced, hooped, laughed. Totally refreshed now! Going through those little creeks on the way in was exhilarating; it felt like an amusement park ride. Lots of smiley, happy people. Some were a little too friendly however, heh. One boy tried to follow me back to camp, and another boy wanted to "talk in the energy exchange tent" immediately after exchanging names. Yeesh! I'm just here to dance!
Wading (or skinny dipping as my love chose to do) in the creek in the daytime was very refreshing. Just being out in nature was wonderful.
Just wish it could have gone one for at least one more night. These events just make me so happy.

Can someone please tell me who that was and who invited him?

Yeah, fuck that guy. Hendrik had to throw him out of the ambient tent, he was so obnoxious. We theorized that he was probably a psychology student conducting an experiment on group dynamics by acting as a confederate. Either that or a local, because nobody else could possibly be *that* annoying.
I'm banking on the former, personally.
So, you know how every event has problems of some kind or another? PROSPERITY has remarkably few, all things considered. Last year, my friend Fried drowned his truck. This year, the good overshadowed the bad by a wide margin. Sure, there were a couple of problems with the genny and one weird asshole tried his best to kill the vibe. Neither the genny nor the asshole spoiled the party, or even came close.
The weather was awesome. The heavens were alight with an incredible starscape. I got naked in the creek, although I (sadly) didn't have the fortitude to thoroughly submerge myself. A few teenage people made the trek for the first time, and their energy and enthusiasm (along with respect for both themselves and the performers) added to the vibe in a really awesome way. And speaking of the performers, despite being occasionally interrupted by technical difficulties, they were amazing. When the PA stopped, drum circles started, and people continued to dance.
I have visited four of Earth's seven continents. Only in New Zealand have I had a similar experience. We're truly blessed to have such an awesome community here.
Osiris, THANKS for keeping the spirit alive. It means a lot to me, a sentiment I'm sure is shared by just about everyone else who was there. Being outdoors in the Pacific Northwest is one of my favorite things in the world, as is music, as is dancing. Combining all three creates a truly magical experience.

Those are some sweet photos!
This was my favorite year of the eight Prosperity events for so many reasons. I am always impressed by what can be done when everyone pitches in to share.

geez, everyone seems to have had an experience with that one creepy guy.
as one exasperated girl yelled out, "u're THAT GUY! do u know that? u're the only THAT GUY at this party!" all the other amazing ppl that I met more than made up for him. I'd say one creep outta coupla hundred folks ain't too shabby.
this was easily the best party experience I've had since moving up to seattle, and one of my favorite outdoors, it was utter sweetness all-around. I really appreciated the variety of music.
and man, I am dying to know who made that never-ending remix of "funky boss" that (I think) michael maricle threw down in the morning, that was killer.

I think it was the Noracle, Zendal (the Noracle slayer) was asleep at that time, he would have handled THAT GUY, perhaps next year we could modify bug zappers to zap THAT GUY
