Eva is one of my favorite local djs. I was hoping for something a little harder, but I was still dancing my ass off! What were those two 15" Macbook Pros doing there?? That setup looked pretty intense.. heh

I caught the end of KJ Sawka's set. I just stood there in awe of how fast he was moving.. He's an amazing performer!

Holy shit.. I know its only May, but this is going down in my book as one of the top shows in '07! Seriously! Got there just in time to hear Kid Hops and KJ Sawka rinse it out. KJ was playing live drums over the tunes KH was droppin. Man, everything from Commix to Calibre to Ill Logic & Raf.. you name it.. the hotness was dropped. Love that Calibre - "Hustlin" tune!! You know its a good one, when it gets played twice! haha. ;)

Then Shy Fx came on and man.. DIGITAL SOUNDBOY WAS IN FULL EFFECT!! What a dancefloor killer. Loved every minute of it! My friends kept tryin' to get me to go outside.. but the music was so good.. I couldn't leave. :) He played all the OG classics.. woo!! Plus all the dope jamz, everything from Benny Page, that new tune from Breakage (OMG), TC (someone needs to bring this guy out!), Clipz, Jenna G, Amit, etc.

Thank you so much Chris and the Bodyrock crew. You guys rule!!

P.S. I turned on the radio this morning to listen to Positive Vibrations, Kid Hops' reggae show.. and Shy FX was on the air!! So awesome! :)

OMg i had a fucking blast! SHy FX was so awsome!

everyone went crazy when he played Ladies night...hehe. And i got to hear my favorite song, shake your body.

Kj Sawka vs. Kid Hops was also a good show, i liked theback and forth they had going on. My only real complaint was that they played Everyday. C'mon guys, you know better than to play a track by the headliner. It just sounds bad when he comes out later and plays it himself (as he did).

The only other complaint is that its fucking hot as hell in heavens...wtf is going to happen in the summer when it gets really hot? There aren't even fans around...i miss element's air conditioning!!!! haha.

Awww that sucks!!! Not sure if ya like Freq Nasty, but I know you'll love the show we got June 29th...

I guess it's a good thing we'll be bringing him out again. Actually it's pretty safe to say, that we'll have him on a regular basis, but not too much.

He had a really great time, as did everybody else. Tons of great soulful, island-stylee jams plus some jump up bizness as well as even some dark tones. Hearing him drop LN, was the shit and the tune he mixed out was DOPE. Hard edge with a ragga twist. Loved when he played Suicide Bomber too. He even had me go get a spindle of cd's so he could play some brand new tunes that he had never played before, such as the TC remix of "Everyday"...also, I think the Adam F remix of Original Nuttah is new too. So much fun and energy from both the artists and the crowd. Not as big of a turnout as we expected, but just everybody's reactions was worth it all.

KJ Sawka/Kid Hops was really good IMO. Not over the top, but they played very well with each other. Plus with this kind of combo, there's always the chance to have them do it again and it's that much more intense. These guys are so talented and also so open-minded. HUGE thanks for doing things different.
