Wow! More foam this year than last year! Great to see Palmer and Pooka, Hyperfunk, Sonny Chiba, Swank, and the rest of the homies!

The schedule got a bit hairy at first, playing between Element and Bouncy, but surprisingly the kids were rockin' the hell out of the tunes anyways, so thank you guys for making it a fun night!!!

Hardkiss boys? All I have to say is "daaaaaaaaaaaaaamn" they killed it. I loved nearly every tune they dropped. Hyperfunk warmed it up proper for them too!

Overall a rad night!

This was definately the most fun ive had all year, it was also my first foam party and now I smell of pina colada! Every DJ had me moving the entire night. I was moving up and down the stairs a lot to catch everybody I wanted to see. Doughboy and Element gave us the hardcore we need then Jimni and Ian saved the world then Bouncy played the songs we all love to sing. Much love to the DJ's and ravers!

wellllllll all in all it was a pretty sweet night.

except the part where i was told that someone had put LSD in the bubbles. that kinda scared me, especially cause i had just spent about 20 minutes directly under the bubble machine. i don't ever wanna do lsd. i'm a sober raver for a reason! so that was kind of weak.

but then i realised how dumb that was...putting acid in bubbles, YES its possible, but wouldn't happen..so that made things better lol.

SOOOO in review allllllll the dj's i saw ripped it UP! i spent about 99% of the time in the main room or on the top floor listening to the main room dj's. hardkiss bro's tore it up!

harcore saves the world was AWESOME! lol i havent laughed/smiled/enjoyed myself to a dj set like that ever before. way to go you guys!
AARON SIMPSON OH SHIT!! i haven't seen him spin since freaknight 10, and MAN was it awesome!!! had my body rocking from start to finish

i was there from beginning to end, and wouldn't have it any other way. i had a fucking BLAST! a night to remember for sure! it was also really nice to see a few familiar old snohomish faces in the crowd! people i havent seen in over 3 years! =-D

so i hope everyone enjoyed it as much as i did, my only regret was not bringing some more clothes, cause trying to drive home when my pants were like 20 pounds heavier was a task haha. but the reward was worth it - an amazing night of fun!

i've never been to a foam party, and so this night i decided that it was time to face my fears...

everyone looked like they were having a hell of a time, but the bubbles were so scary and kept going for my eyeballs so i hid upstairs. ^.^ i got some crazy pics of the bubble blob--s7completely unrecognizable. may post em when i find the camera charger. yay for bobby, and then element xyz w/ sir doughboy. i had fun listening to that hardcore and gabber (though the table-on-table setup was jenky). good good amazing music. annika and ian's performance was greatness as well.

it was fun seeing everyone and thanks for hosting us kids in the yellow Stay Safe Seattle shirts! i hope everyone took home a s3 goody bag! <3

Hye guys before i write a ong sout out, after I sleep, I need to address a couple things.


First VIP, some of you for got your VIP packet, I have them. I will have them next week at Warp brothers if you contact me. Or we can make arrangements to meet up! THere are t-shirts and watches. and stuff. (hope you liked the free oat chaeck and O bar!!)

Second. between 3:15 am and 3:45am some exited the back door with 2 Mack speakers taht were not theres. Was anyone out back to see this? I mean these speackers are pretty big and it was a very short period of time. With tons of people everywhere please contact me if you know anything. Thank you!

I had a great time at this party! Thanks Marble and Travis for having me out! I haven't seen the Hardkiss brothers in close to ten years, and they were just as good now as it was then. I was amazed to see them keep a crowd of younguns interested while still playing under 130bpm. nice one!

I hope those of you in the side room had fun while I was playing. I had a blast! If you didn't get a CD while I was playing, shoot me a PM, and I'll get one sent out to ya.

Oh my... Webbwerx, you threw an amazing party.
The foam was fu nto play in...
it made me feel like a little kid again.
The DJ's all rocked.

However, I felt so disguesting after the party ended.
Driving home was interesting,
because my shoes were soaked with foam,

So here I am at work, and it's a bit slow so here's my thoughts on the night:

Overall it was one of the funnest nights out I've had in a while. Personally all the anticipation and preparation for our set made it difficult to fully enjoy the other sets I heard, however I can say that 16-bit was doing a great job opening things up in the main room.

We spent some time outside talking to folks, for me it's like a mini-reunion going out to shows now, seeing friends I don't get to see on a regular basis. Had a great time chatting w/ Element 666, theft and Doughboy outside.

Went in to catch Wheelz absolutely destroy that upstairs room, the vibe was thick and once again he showed why he is Seattles Hard Dance champ!

Caught some of both Hardkiss sets, my personal fav being Gavin's really nice techy tracks, such a groove!

As for our set, it was more fun than I can even begin to describe. It was great to see people smiling and having a good time. I just want to give a HUGE thanks to our cast of characters who braved foam, water and heat exhaustion in big furry suits to make the whole experience a blast! And a big thanks to Marble and Webbwerx for just giving us the opportunity to do something a little different.

I had so much fun opening up the main room for you guys! I haven't had that good of a time DJ'ing in AGES!!! :D :D :D SUCH a great crowd. Unfortunately I had to leave to play another gig. But I did get a chance to come back later for a few minutes and catch some of the Hardkiss action. (Very groovy stuff.)

Overall had a wonderful time, Thanks again to Marble and Travis for having me out and letting me be part of this event! One thing to be said however, the table upstairs was rather poorly designed and cost me a record that pretty much can't be replaced due to being cut to shreds by kandy stomping. I think a suspension table up there would do wonders for the dj's.

It was great seeing old friends and seeing alot of new faces, and the kids who have learned the words to some classic choons for singalongs! LOVIN IT!!

oh yeah....

DJ WHEELZ FUCKING TORE IT UP!!!!!!!

It's always an honor to play a show with him and I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to stand up anymore after his set because of the incredible BASS!!!!


Special thanks go out to Doughboy, Mindy, Yoshi, and J. Jones for doing their best to keep the table sturdy enough so it didn't skip so much.

And also Special Thanks to The S7 Security for holding it down respectfully outside, Always a treat seeing those guys, they've really come a long way.

I heard Erics and Chris's set from outside and it was bangin as always, and even though I'm not a big fan of house, Marble PWND the mainstage as always with his groovy style and sick scratches.

Side note:

I had a Blue Technics hoodie with me that I set down behind the decks in the upstairs room and I think it was taken on accident, if it was found, I really like it and would be super duper happy if it found it's way home.



So anyhow, I had a blast!

so stevie went a ravin' last night.

i admittedly haven't been out in a long long long time, so i wanted to go check in with everything.

got there at like 10:45 ish and planned to stay til about 12:30 and go home. that didn't happen.

wound up staying at the party until the very end.

i had a good time. it was fun running into people who were like "holy shit, how have you been?!"... kinda kept myself on the downlow, randomly talking to people. it was very entertaining kinda learning more about the current group of 'kids' out there right now.

hyperfunk & cameo were great. thought gavin's set was pretty tight. nice glitchy techy techno :) aaron simpson was on his game as always. chiba & j-sharp represented the breakbeats well in the closet.

i did purposely made it a point to catch jimni cricket and ian k, and while i still don't care for the music, the performance was one of a kind and probably one of the most crowd pumping sets i've seen. i'm a sucker for creative performance art and enjoyed the pre-recorded voice samples and general idea of the performance.

i'd never been at a foam party during 'prime time' and jesus h. christ my shoes and pants were fucked.

there were a bunch of 'typical' rave moments last night...

-upon 5 minutes of entering the venue i'm asked if i want bombs
-i proceeded on a good 15 minute search for somebody all over the venue
-some nice girl (i believe in passing she said her name was Chanel?) went off on a mission of her own accord to find me, a random stranger, a cigarette

thank you very much travis webb (and marble;) ) for being so accomodating. word up to hyperfunk for helpin me out early in the night ;) and thanks to sonny chiba for the ride home and trip to get beer! good seeing jeff "dj" unknown. i also had fun circling the block randomly, navigating the maze backstage to the purple room and just kinda hangin' out.

the scene's definitely not what it used to be, but the possibility of a "jaded old raver" enjoying themselves at an all ages show with no bar is definitely there :)

i came, i saw, i raved.

The only thing I would have changed about last the night was being pooped on arrival. Thank goodness the crowd had more than enough energy to feed off of, we were able to push out a few more hour. Unfortunately we missed a lot of sets that we had wanted to see, but I was very impressed with the Hardkiss Brothers.

It was great seeing everyone, Reekoh, Hyperfunk, Swank, Travis, Robin and many others. Erin, you looked adorable as always. Jason, I didn't get to say hello, but thank you for thinking of us and if we don't see you beforehand, we'll see you in July!!

I forgot to say, this staff pass is my favorite of all times. Props to the creator!

the only sour notes for me was the security. this is the first time ive been knocked aside on the dance floor as they push past. i cant remember a time ive been pushed because security was on the dance floor. they were extremely rude.

i had to leave earlyish, so i missed jimini, which makes me upset, i kind of liked the upper room and side room better than the main, it was good, but i like loud and hard back beats, still, GOOD SHOW.

Security wasn't walking around inside too much during BB2. But with that many people inside, if they need to get thru fast bc there's a problem they're supposed to push thru preferably with their flashlights on to alert people they're coming thru. Sorry if it ruined your vibe though. I'm sure it wasn't just so they could be asshole security.

I know S7's security has been learning and working hard to be thorough with their job during raves but not "kill the vibe" by being assholes, if they don't have to be. A few of them work multiple parties at multiple venues because of this experience.

Alrighty, this is a little long... but hey, I'm just trying to be thourgh :)

Here are the things that I was not too hot on:

VIP treatment and the line: When we arrived (at only 9:30) we were told that there was no longer a VIP line, and even though we had VIP tickets we would have to go to the end of a very long line. I thought that was just so ridiculous... I mean, if you spend $50 on a ticket that advertises an expedited line, you should be able to get in no matter what time you show up. And to rub salt in that wound, at the very end of the show I was talking to a staff member who told me that we SHOULD have been let in, and not have to have waited in line. But anyways, back to the line... The boys line was moving quicker then the girls, so half my group got in way before us two girls. And now I must go on minor rant... I was so unbelievably pissed with the amount of girls that were cutting and using the boys line to get in faster. We had a good long long of girls behind us, and by 10:45ish we were in the back. How rude is that? Also, I think it would be fantastic if you could make a express girls line for those of us that DON'T bring backpacks with a million things in them. The most I ever bring to a rave is my ID and my money (and maybe some crackers) and all of those are so easy to carry and stow away.
So anyways, long story short, after over an hour and a half of waiting we finally got in, got or badges, and went to the chill room. It was a cool space, but I might have either moved the food out of the way of the bubbles, or gotten pre packed snacks that would not get all nasty. Also, the water ran out super quick, so I might suggest a few more cases.

The theme: WHY OH WHY were there not more people dressed up? I think besides four of us in my group, there was only one other person dressed to the theme. But hey, I had fun rocking the Princess Peach, even though I did get asked once if I was Sleeping Beauty...

And now for the things I loved:
The security was AWESOME. The girls at the door were really nice, and everyone was just so friendly and talkative. I think the Studio Seven staff if my favorite, and Bone's crew is always very professional. It was really nice in the VIP room to have a place to sit, it totally made the ticket worth it. It was really hot, but I think the staff did the best they could to keep things cool with fans and such.

The music: I missed most of Marble due to being in line forever, but what I heard at the end was super good! HYPER FUNK AND CAMEO ROCKED!! I love those two... they always have so much energy, and their music is so amazing (I can't wait for Bad Boy Bill!) I was not too impressed by the Hardkiss boys, but hey, what can you do. Jimni was OUTSTANDING, as always, I really loved the her and Ian K's set! I almost died when they played "Million miles from home" I absolutely love that song!! Other then that, I wish I had made it into the side rooms, I would have loved to have seen Reekoh and Bouncy.

Well, I think that's it... I really did have a fantastic time when I finally got over the whole line situation. Thank you so much Webbwerx and Marble for another great party... I can't wait for the next one!!

I had to leave early, but as far as I was concerned it was an AMAZING PARTY. I have learned my lesson, though, I prefer to stay out of of the foam, and had to fight to stay out of it since there were about four people threatening to throw me into it. All the DJs I visited until about 12:30 (when I left) were throwing it down fucking hardcore and were just awesome, so kudos; kudos...

Also thanks to Travis and Sean for helping me out with my presale issue, it was something I was worried about for awhile there, glad to see it all got sorted out :D

Who excatly was it that told you to go to the back of the line? All VIP is allowd to cut during the whole show in line. I'm sorry that someone ruined this for you.

I Really enjoyed the party, i beleive that Travis is probley one of the best party planners out there. But this is about the party ^^

I loved the vibe there wern't tp many people just sitting around most people were up dancing there asses(haha) off all night long which was great. I loved the Foam except when i inhald it through the nose HAHA. as for the Dj's

Dj DQ- Was great nice start of the vibe from the start of the party, i would accually like to see him at more parties.(to bad he is going to europe for a month.

Chris Atom- Fabulous as always, but needs to get to recording ^^ i want his new albums xD

Swank- you had a great set but not many people were in there sorry about that love the Cd though ^^

Sonny Chiba- Love the set you had at Bubble Bobble, had alot of the girls goin crazy. i saw Sonny Get FLASHED... haha good job man.

Element and Doughboy- Heard about your set heard it was great, sorry i wasn';t there i had to listen to sonny chiba ^^

Jimni and Ian k- That was probley the best set i have ever seen, loved the vibe it set off is was very original and you got the crowd going wild, i just hope it was as much fun for you as it was for me you 2 did great!

Dj Bouncy- I loved all the songs you played and how you got everyone to sing! that was great and when the record skipped how you yelled out YEAHHHAHAHAHAHAHA cause everyone was dancing there asses off soooo good!! you diffanitally ended the night off with a BANG!

I would like to thank security for there great job, and travis and marble for all there hard work and detication to the scene. all the staff and and Dj's, if i didn't get tpo see you play i am sorry there was just so much greatness^^

Props to s7 staff for their work with the lines and party goers during the night, everything went very smooth.

Thanks to all the DJ's that rocked it. I didnt catch near as many sets as I would have liked running around all night but I definatly heard some great tunes!

Thanks to Erin, Sean, Sarah, Ghost, Scrabblez, Jenn and all the other hard working staff at the door or doing setup/ teardown during the event.

i had a really good time, my shoes got clean but my pants were fucked. the foam spread all the way through the downstairs, the bathroom was like a lake. it was awsome ;), the DJ's killed it, their was a lot of house in the main room. didnt spend much time in the 2 room downstairs except to walk in on swank playing good music to an almost empty room. i REALLY liked the way they had the smoking section done and i hope they continue to use that format. even standing upstairs their were bubbles flying everywhere. im not very fond of foam party's

For upstairs not having foam it was hot as fuck i couldnt even stay for any sets up there..
The Hardkiss boys, Sonny Chiba && Aaron Simpson were all awesome sets!!

Funny...every time I went in there to hear Swank, the room was filled with people...people just standing there not giving me any room to dance. Okay, they weren't all just standing there. Some were flinging their blinky things around and then gave *me* an annoyed look when it bounced off my head.

I especially had fun during Gavin Hardkiss' set. I enjoyed what I heard. I stayed away from the foam blob and tried to make a space for myself on the floor by dancing.

A word of advice kids- when you need to get somewhere, it's much more polite to say "excuse me" or tap someone on the shoulder than to barrel through a crowd of people. I know sometimes there's an important mission to be had, but a smile and an "excuse me" make it a better night for everyone.

I did have fun though. I'm just not used to "raves" anymore.

I had never heard of them (much to the surprise of some of the older ravers there, as they have apparently been here a few times?), so I was literally expecting something more akin to the rest of the music being displayed in the show.

But I was VERY pleasantly enjoying nearly every tune they dropped, as they bounced back from proggie house, to breaks, to some heavier-chunky house/breaks and back again, including some very very very atmospheric breakbeat track that had me dancing like I was 15 all over again.

I can't stress enough how wonderful the Hardkiss Boys' music really was for me personally. I will never miss them in town again

Okay, so I pride myself of large in depth reviews but I'm going to make this one short and sweet, well for me anyway =)

A couple little tangents. One this was a Nintendo themed party right??? Where were all the people dressed up like Nintendo characters??? My Oly crew and one other person were the ONLY ones I saw dressed up. I was Mario, Archangel was Luigi, Radiance was Princess Peach, and the lovely Moonlight was Princess Zelda... if there was a constume contest and prizes we would have taken them ALL home. Which is what I thought would happen, free tickets to the next Marbe/Webbwerx party or something... sadly no. Now this alone wouldn't have meant much, but then...

My crew was VIP, Radiance, Moonlight, Archangel, the Count and myself. We paid GOOOOOD money for this too, double what others paid to get in at the door. And with that comes a certain level of expectations, the first being right when I showed up, like an expidited line to get in before the crowd of people. DIDN'T HAPPEN, we were told by two different security guards that there wasn't one... WTF. In fact that girls waited over an hour and missed ALL of Marbles set, which was sick by the by. Now I didn't mind that the VIP section was just a corded off portion of the upstairs, what I didn't mind was that the food was all open, no prepackeged goods where the bubbles would get all over them... and thats was happened. When we arrived we noticed that there was only two cases of water for the VIP for the entire night... wha??? HMmmMMMmmmmmmm. The couches were really really nice, but still. The bubble machin was in the VIP so there was goo most everywhere.

Marble - you got better from your Pirates party performance in my opinion, I lost it in mid sentance when you started dropping the Nirvana song "Hey, way, I've got a new complaint" my head almost hit the ceiling I lept so high.

HYPERFUNK/CAMEO
Is there a better, more passionate tandom on the decks in Seattle??? I think not. I was so happy they were there. Even though Cameo spent nearly 10 minutes fighting with the equipment to get it all straight. He worked us over... and Hyperfunk dropped sick beats on my face, lovin' it.

But sadly thats where the amazing mainstage music stopped. Unlike the other reviewers here, I couldn't stand the Hardkiss Brothers... sorry they seemed really bland and boring. Nothing to write home to mom about... or listen to. Sorry

Now I must say, and nearly quote someone from the beginning of the BB2 reviews, I'm not a fan of HHC but man, How Hardcore Saved the World was the greatest performance I've seen at a rave... good work Ian and Jimni.

I bounced around a lot until about 4 when I heard Bouncy start his set. I've never had the pleasure of hearing him until now and damn thats a shame. He was AWESOME!!! I will try to catch his set at any Rave I attend from here on out.

So during this whole thing I had my red hat that I was having DJ's, Promoters, and REALLY HOT GO GO DANCERs sign. And I need to give a shout out to a certain dancer who helped me on my quest. Thank you so much Miss Texas (no real name as I'm sure I seemed like a raver stalker with how much I was thanking her). She made my night, and I thank her for that.

Longer than I thought, but still. I will do everything in my power to attend all Marble Webbwerx parties, I can't wait for the Superhero/Supervillain party. Our crew is already starting their brainstorming...

hahaha thats funny, mine did too for quite a while, i actually went out and bought a new pair. i dunno...something in the soap, probably a nice mixture of sweat, spit, drugs, maybe some sex juice, water, bubbles, dirt, god knows what else
