Glad to see Seattle represent and do the City proud!! The guys want to thank you all for turning out and they enjoyed their set greatly! They also now have a reason to remember Seattle amongst the hundreds of gigs they perform each year.
Much respect SEATTLE!!! The energy was through the roof......

WELL! i need to clear some shit up here about what happened to me, cause a lot of people saw it and noone realyl knew what happened.
i went to the party with a presale will call ticket and got up to the searching table, layed out my items and went forward. the guy who was about to search me said i couldn't bring my INHALER in, even though i have been to so many parties before, the worst that has ever been done to me was they asked for my id to make sure it was mine. anyways
i said to call the owner over so i could speak with him, he looked at it and immediately said "no open containers" i replied with "its not an open fucking container, its my inhaler, i NEED THIS." and he went back with "no open containers"
so thats when i said something, MAYBE i should have, even though its 100 percent true, "well, you do realise if i pass out from an athsma attack, i can sue you, right?" so he said "well, since you said that, get the fuck out of my club"
then we went back and forth for a second, me mostly saying stuff like "thats fucked up, i NEED THIS" then he got all pissy that i was swearing...though he actually swore long before i did....but i digress
yeah so then he got in my face and tried to intimidate me, because hes some big guy, probably 300 pounds, and im a 140 soaking wet...so that really pissed me off and i stormed up the stairs screaming obscenities.
i had a buddy in line who rode with me, and i told him what happened and we began to leave when i stopped and realised...hey...i PAID....im getting my fucking money BACK, or moneys worth. so after like ten minutes of talking to a bunch of different security guards (who all talked to the owner, and he denied my entry) and i finally found one, who told me just to put it in my car and he would help me get in. i was really hesitant because...well...you can die from athsma, anyone who has it, knows its a dangerous condition to have. also, parties always have lots of fog, its humid, im dancing....its grounds for an attack, and i HAVE had one at parties before( bubble booble 2, where i actually had security escort me to my car and back to make sure i was OK), but i did it anyways. so he got me back into the party, of which i stayed the entire night.
so thats just to clear it up for the people who saw it, which was quite a few. frankly, yes i said some shit i shouldnt have, but the guy needed to understand the urgency of athsma...its not really an open container...but its over with now, so you can decide for yourself...
but as for the party....
Pros: WHOA! amazing! ryle kicked ass with some fucking awesome rock-remixes, loved the wierd style he had going on, which was a bit of breaks, hardstyle, dnb, dance...and god knows what else lol
MarQ, great as always, but during most of his set i was too tired to dance, so i just chilled in the side by the main stage.
Infected....well....of COURSE it was GODLIKE! haha awesome, been waiting a long time to see them and it was worth the wait. great song choices...though i would have liked to have heard "elation station, and nevereverland" but hey, im not the DJ's lol.
Cons: THE HEAT! whoa...the heat was comparable to down the rabbit hole 3 haha. actually, i think it was worse than that party.
the sound wasnt amazing for infected, it was ok, im not sure what happened, but i could barely hear the keyboard, and what i COULD hear, was overwhelmed with bass and the crowd praising them with cheers and shouts. lol
so all in all, other than the first hour, i had an amazing time, saw some good people, Jolene and Drew, MarQ (of course i saw him...he WAS dj'ing lol) and Eric. saw some others but didnt really talk to many people.
great job everyone!!!!!
:Edit: oh and for future reference, maybe people should start posting on threads and flyers "no open containers, and that includes inhalers"
cause i have been glued to the thread and it said NOTHING of the sort about inhalers being classified as open containers....so maybe we should start letting people know ahead of time they cant take their inhalers in...

Off. The. Hook.... SERIOUSLY.
Words can't even describe the amazing night I just had.
Security was definitely a little intense... I didn't get any grief over my inhaler, but the dude next to me who just had lasik was denied his SEALED AND LABELED eyedrops. Asking for some lawsuits there, guys...
The temp was also a little intense, especially with the fog adding to the humidity, but I stopped noticing after IM took the stage. Mad props to the bouncers at the front dousing folks with water. I <3 you guys!!
As for the real point of my posting (the first show to drag me out of reclusion and actually create an account...); THIS SHOW WAS AMAZING!!! The energy was surreal, you could see the guys feeding off of the excitement of the crowd. I was soaked head to toe, my feet were numb, and I thought I was going to faint from the heat, but I couldn't help but dance and shout with everything I had left in me. Everyone in attendance made this show what it was, through the love, respect, and unleashed off the hook throw it up in the air enthusiasm. I agree that this will be a show the guys remember when they think of how Seattle throws down!!

That was absolutely fantastic. My friend and I had a really positive experience. The drive down was great, we found free parking just two blocks away, and we didn't spend more than 15 minutes from line to getting inside.
I was really worried about the show being shoulder to shoulder packed with people, no elbow room and nowhere to sit for a while, but we were pleasantly surprised. I think it also helped that we weren't approached every 5 minutes by some vacant looking teenager asking "man, are you rollin'?" Ahh, good times at NAF.
We didn't have any problems with security, but we didn't bring much with us in the way of stuff in our pockets, and my purse was weeded out at home to make getting through a lot faster. The only downer was when I bought a bottle of water in the 21+ area, took one drink, and tried to head out. The security guy stopped us and wouldn't let us leave with the water, but I suppose it's a valid concern that someone nefarious would swap water for booze for their underage friends.
MAJOR kudos on otter pops- reasonable price and a welcome treat.
I'll echo everyone else and say that the one big complaint was the 900 degree atmosphere. I feel sorry for people with breathing issues, it was scary hot in there and the fog and humidity/sweat didn't make it any easier. Much appreciation for the free cups of icewater at the all-ages bar.
The energy was fantastic. There seemed to be a lot of respect between everyone, I didn't experience any of the shoving / elbows being thrown / plowing straight through people that I've seen at a lot of other parties. I was delighted that so many other people had even heard of Infected Mushroom. Goa is like unto my soul, and it was so cool to share the excitment and thrill of Mushroom with so many like minds!
I have never so desperately needed a shower as I did when I got home tonight. I didn't know it was possible to be that soaking wet from dancing and sweating, but it was so worth it.
Great show, I was impressed that everything was above and beyond my expectations. Definitely something I'll remember for the rest of my life.

WTF... Ok promotors get your SHIT TOGETHER ..
SOME OF US have to use those blasted inhailers,
they are not fucking open containers..
seriously, get your damn shit together seattle promoters, this isnt the first time i've heard that sob story. I was refused entrance a few years ago for an inhailer with my fucking name on it. seriously, little dick secuirty folks, i know you can't be that fucking stupid.. get a godamn clue.. AN INHAILER IS INOT A FUCKING PIPE..
the first time someone dies from ashma due to an asshole sec guard not letting someone bring life saving emergency medication with them, the whole fucking scene is going to explode and people will get sued out thier asses.
shit ok so i'm a little bummed about missing this show.. after of the madness with security though, and that i've see mushy 4 times, i suppose i can sleep tonite.. ;)

I had no idea it was gonna be 35 at the door. (Though some people I talked to said they got in for 30. Not a huge difference, but what was the deciding factor there?) That's a pretty big step up from the advertised $20 presale, especially for a show not going all night. But I paid and had a good time. Heavens really needs better ventilation if shows are gonna be this packed though. Felt like a death trap dungeon at times and I worried about some folks possibly overheating/dehydrating (there really was no need for smoke effects, it was already hard enough to breath in there). Enough complaining though. The show was great and a lot of good friends were there. And I'm hung over as fuck at work. Life is grand.

It was worse when that place was the Catwalk.
Well… what words can properly describe the events of last night…. Insanity, amazing, monumental, mind blowing, epic….
I got there a little after 10, got inside & it was packed already. A good indicator of what was yet to come. Ryle was tearing it up to a packed room with his signature style . At 10:45 I started & man the energy was intense. I started out with some Tec trance, built it up & ended with some vicious psy. I don't play psytrance very often but its what turned me on to the scene & holds a special place in my heart with one act in particular, Infected Mushroom. I have seen the boys 7 times or so now & had the pleasure of playing with them every time they have come thru. Last night was possibly the best show yet. I was a little taken back when I saw the new rider, listing guitars & drums to the equipment list. Well they not on exceed my expectations they destroyed them. From the 1st beat Erez & Duv showed why they are the reigning kings of Psytrance. Great job Paul, Gavin & everyone at heavens. The heat was an issue, but its one thing that clubs always have to fight especially in summer. It was hot & humid yesterday & the basement of that building has a lack of fresh air ventilation, throw 900 people going nuts in to the mix & the heat quickly builds. I am sure that before the next event this will be addressed. Thanks again Seattle for another unreal night!!!

I was kind of bummed that I had just gotten my wisdom teeth removed and feared I wouldn't be able to dance alot. But the energy of the crowd was so high that I was compelled to get down with my bad self.
I have some pictures if people want to see them. Nothing great, just alot of bright lights and the stage. Didn't take alot of photos of people I met.
I was wearing the "THINK: it's not illegal yet" t-shirt. It got some laughs :D

Ah yeah, I got a pic of your shirt but not much of the show. I'd love to see yours and anyone else's photos if you throw them up somewhere.
(I was the one in the Hex Offender shirt)

Great fucking show.... i was thrilled to be on the line up for this event and had been looking forward to so much the last few weeks...
when i walked in the venue at 845 before the doors were open, it was already hot.. was obvious that the heat would be an issue for the crowd...
its always interesting to play an opening set, and to start things off with an empty dancefloor... its very satisfying to see the progression of the room and the energy while the crowd comes in, warms up, slowly the dancefloor becomes alive, and then spikes of energy start revealing themselves as the night builds...
i was excited to play some stuff that i dont always get to play for under 21 crowds.. starting thing off with intelligent breaks, dark progressive, and electrohouse... and moved toward electronic rock, breakbeat anthems, and dropped some dnb in the middle of my set before working some higher energy tracks to set up Marq..
Marq came on after me and it couldnt have come at a better time.. i was reaching extreme temps at that point and was happy to hand over the decks so i could drink 3 bottles of water lol...
Infected Mushroom was solid and powerful as always. They put on an amazing show and I have come to expect nothing less from them. It great to see their live act progressing in a real electronic band.. as much as the die hards will hate this... i can guarantee you that these guys will be a commercial sucess in the next year to 2 years. They are a worldwide phenomenon, and that is the next step in their evolution as musicians and artists.....
Thank you to everyone that came out and danced their asses off, thank you to Gavin, the Heaven staff, and everyone involved! great job!

oh i forgot to mention one other thing...promoters, i understand your job is to put flyers in peoples hands and on their cars....but please...when its raining, wet, or a lot of moisture out, please dont put them on peoples cars. i always get flyers stuck to my windshield and its really annoying seeing that gunky crap stuck to my window for the next 3 weeks.
got some pics and some videos up at: http://picasaweb.google.com/KingKoopaJosh/InfectedMushroom
woot.
again, the party was awesome!
