What's with including BT in with "them" as in the evil empire that is MTV. BT's a pioneer not a sell-out. Why is it that if anyone acquires even a small amount of mainstream success at any point (even late) in their career they are immediately considered a sell-out. How does everyone else feel about BT? Is he selling-out electronic music or fusing it or just doing his thing?

Moby is the sellout, BT hasn't been EVERYWHERE, so BT should keep doin what he's doin. I guess Moby is an Environmental sellout, because at least he gives his money away to charity. But we still have to listen to his tracks everywhere we go, and that gets old quick. Moby, GO AWAY!!

I think BT is a huge sellout, and here's why:

First off I have to say that I love BT's first 2 albums IMA, and ESCM. His style has definately changed but who am I to say what he should and shouldn't play, if that's the music he wants to create then fine. I saw BT play at EndFest last August by himself and he blew me away, I saw him 3 months later at DV8 with a full band and it was completely different not necessarily bad but more of a rock show. There is no denying that BT is a pioneer of this music scene from scoring movies and video games, to creating very beautiful, emotional albums. Maybe he just doesn't want to be labeled as a trance d.j. anymore. I don't think he is selling out I think he is just doing what he wants to. Even if I do like his trance stuff the best!

i think that BT got where he did because he makes some incredible tracks! almost every single one of them are classic! most of the anthems i think of today when trance is mentioned were produced by non other than: BT! hell, if he's happy with being 'main stream', so be it. im just happy that he's been around to make some of my most favorite trance songs.
i must say, tho...he's been lacking lately...i am thoroughly unimpressed with that one single, 'dreaming'. i haven't heard much else from his new album. im more into his older shit. oh well...im happy with what he's made, it's not really my business if he decides to 'sell out' or have a different life-style than you or me. to each their own...hey! at least he didn't get where he was by being on some dumb tv show "let's make a boy band!" or whatever the hell it's called.

It sucks too becuase old school Moby kicks ass! I bought his self titled album back in like 92 or 93 and I still think it's the best thing he's ever done. I can't stand hearing the entire Play album in a night of watching tv...it's on like every third commercial, yuk!

i wouldnt call BT a sellout, his new breaks tracks are very progressive considering nuskool breaks havent even hit big here in the states yet. breaks aside, he has always been one of my favorite producers of any genre. but whats up with this pseudoalternative streak? that smells fishy to me. and that song shame? if he had to make an alternarock song he could have at least done a good one.**vents on how much the domestic version of movement in still life sucks ass** and as for moby, i think play pretty much sucks. not because its on tv commercials but because i think its weak and boring. i like all his other stuff though, even animal rights(the 50% punk 50% ambient albumuahahahah).

no opinion on the 'sell-out' issue... as far as his music goes.. liked the first album, second was ok... but the domestic version of 'movement in still life' sucks ass.
