I was hoping someone on here could set the story straight for me... What exactly happened to the Prodigy? I hear different things from everyone... Did they disband? Go back to playing at raves only? What? Most (all) of the websites I can find either are not current, in a language other than english, or have links that go nowhere. I think Prodigy is one of the most talented groups currently producing electronic music and I would hate to hear that they are no more. Another album would be nice about now... Thanks for any info.

they have a new cd coming out this fall and i heard they have gone back to more of an electronica sound (less lyrics more djing and producing)

I thought Liam said he pretty much hated the sound on Fat of the Land (he didn't really do as much of the production on it as on the earlier discs) and that he was leaving them. Of course, then out comes The Dirtchamber Sessions Volume One (large sounds by the way), so I imagine that the new disc coming out could just be volume two, not new material.

Either way, I'll definitely buy it.

You might want to check out http://www.nme.com
and enter prodigy into their search, they've got loads of links and I think the first one leads directly to a news site for the band called pro-con. :)

Here's another link: http://www.prodigynews.co.uk

Yep, Fry, Liam dispised The Fat of the Land, coz, well duh, he can do MUCH better. Check out some of his earlier mixes on Napster, search for Liam Howlett.
And also, their MC, Maxim, has put out his own stuff in the past year.
