Hello, was just wondering if there is already a group of people conducting DanceSafe booths in the Portland area. If not, would anyone like to join me in creating a DanceSafe scene here? Years ago I was a member of DanceSafe Seattle, but would definitely need to be retrained and the like. If anyone would like to help me head up this extravaganza, that'd be awesome, please pm me or reply here. :)

There are no chapters of Dancesafe currently involved with the PDX "scene". It would be a great idea though., might even start to bring more people together round these parts.

Glad to see somone would be interested in starting it up here (again). I would be glad to help however I can.

Thanks for the positive responses guys/gals! :) For those of you wanting to help out, would you like to have a meeting to start planning what we could do and how to proceed? I work Mon-Thurs, but if we were to meet somewhere in the Portland area, like downtown or near there, I think it'd be great to have a lunch date/coffee/whatever to kind of hash out details. :)

So, I was thinking of meeting on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, what does anyone else think? Just reply and we could set up a date/time to meet and get this party started! :D

There was a pretty strong chapter of Dance Safe in Portland for 2 or 3 years. I would suggest getting in touch with some old TOS (Temple of Sound) kids or talking to Melissa from GEP/Kinetic to get in touch with some of the old members from Dance Safe.
