Any Sky Cries Mary fans out there? I know they are not a band anymore, but I am still a huge fan and really miss seeing thier shows. They put on some of the best live performances ever!

I remember seeing them in concert and having a half naked indian guy running around throwing pixie dust in the air above everyone in the crowd. Man I really hoped that wasnt just in my head!

Palmer,
I'm pretty sure that guy was real. I remember seeing some one like that at every
concert.

They used to (up to right before This Timeless Turning was released, I think) have a whole performance crew. The half-naked guy you were mentioning was probably L. Steiner, I think.
Sad that they started off amazingly progressive - hardly any guitar, lots of bass and samples - and sort've....got more and more cheesy with each release. They actually let themselves be labeled 'space rock' in interviews. Icky. I dunno, aside from a few choice songs, I stick to 'Exit at the Axis' (their uber-frickin' cool first EP) and whatever the second one was called (purple dress, star buddha, yeah, you know it).
Must have seen them live over fifty times, at the least. Damn, but I need to find those old CD's. =)
