First off, I just want to thank everyone who has supported this night over the last 16 months. We've been honored to host an absolute shit-ton of local talent in this city while offering a consistently free and fun place to hang out and dance every Friday night at CHAC Lower Level. In the rare instance where we charged a cover, Electric Avenue has brought some great talent to the city in DJ Deekline (London), DJ Assault (Detroit), ENDUSER (NYC), DJ Starski (Detroit), Justin Long (Chicago), Still Rob G (SF), Brian Zentz (Portland), Sunshine Jones (SF), and MSTRKRFT (Toronto).

Electric Avenue is ending because, as many have heard, the founders of CHAC are choosing not to renew their lease on the 12th Avenue building, and instead turning their attention towards a building that they can invest in. This may happen as soon as this summer. From UHF's stand point, the entire staff at CHAC has been a pleasure to work with, and very accommodating of our needs.

All congratulations aside, I would like to bring everyone's attention to our final three shows:

May 30th -- OK PARTY showcase w/OK Dave, Ryan Alexander, Swank (No Cover) (http://nwtekno.org/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=126323)

June 6th -- RANDY JONES (aka CARO) dj set, Peter Evans (No Cover) (http://nwtekno.org/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=126324)

June 13th -- EA CLOSING PARTY w/BIRD PETERSON & OCELOT (Austin, TX) ($10, no presales) (http://nwtekno.org/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=126260)

Shameless got to ride the Electric Avenue train with UHF for the first 6 months or so and it was great! Big ups to UHF for holding it down proper for the next year. While it will certainly be missed, you're all going out in fine fashion.

Keep 'em wanting more!
