Lets talk about the weather...

What the hell is going on in the Pacific NW? It's June and I'm freezing my ass off! It snowed two feet in the passes over the weekend. We're experiencing the coldest weather in 95 years (or so I've heard) and right now it's warmer (on average) in Siberia than it is in Seattle! Record heat every where else in the country, record lows here!

I know it's technically not summer yet, but come on! And those weather men lie out their asses every day. Trying to give us all hope by saying on Monday that it will be nice by Wednesday! Sunshine my ass!

Personally I'm itching for summer, so I can go hiking and not fear getting caught in a blizzard!

It sucks, because it was only sunny monday - friday last summer... so I feel like I NEVER got a summer last year...

It's been winter for 18 months for me :(

I know how you feel. Last summer and the summer before I was in Alaska, so I've been living in perpetual winter since 2006. In 2005 I was pregnant and it was hot as a mother fucker, so I didn't do much. The summer before, was my "wasted" summer where I was pretty much stoned all summer and didn't do anything! So, as a result of my stupidity I haven't had a summer since 2003. I've got all my camping gear out, organized it, inventoried it, and it's ready to go...

no really, I grew up so much in the outdoors around here, i don't let the grey weather dampen my summer fun.

ok so I did cancel the wild waves season pass idea....but you can bet i'll be out in the woods hiking & camping almost every weekend.

bummed this is a scout weekend at camp & not a hiking weekend. should be nice this weekend.

I'm going to have to, we have a party coming up in little more than a week and last I heard there was snow just a few miles away from our site! We actually went camping in Eastern Washington a couple of weeks ago, which was great.. an adventure like all camping up here!

im in heaven. i love this weather.

Oh and Kat, I remember that too. I was working for frito lay last summer and it would be really hot and nice all week and I would be really sad because I had a few tourist towns on my route. When the weather is nice everyone from Seattle comes to look at the scummy ass beaches over here. But then, by the grace of xenu (or something), it would get all cold and rainy almost every weekend. It was rad!

it sucks!! I just moved here from AZ and the weather is SO lame. I am used to 110+ right about now... and I saw a thermomater this AM and it was fucking 43degrees.

Ya, I'm getting mine out of the shop today (broke the engine latches jumping wakes heh), but I think I'm just gonna put on my good rain jacket and hit the water anyways. :p

well, i may not be going to tahiti, but i do have a cruise to mexico in november so its almost as good!

but vacation aside i'm really ready for the warm weather to start, we totally got teased with that one week of nice weather, its not fair!

i just came back from san francisco and it was very pleasanty warm there.... i miss it already. We've been talking about moving to oahu for a year or two just to have an extended vacation.... we still might.
I miss the warm... im already planning my next vacation. Cant go more than 3 months without one!

I went out yesterday. IT WAS FREEZING!!!!!! But, I just had on my columbia....toady I may put on a hoodie underneath. :D

Lol. I'm STILL trying to get rid of my tan lines from my wet suit. We went out on our wave runners about a month ago, and I got tan lines from hell.

Even if it was cold, I'm sure it felt great to get out there. When I'm back from Vegas, we'll be doing the same. I'm jealous for now.

I just got her out of the shop. I had to take it in because one of the engine compartment latches broke when I jumped a wake like 3 FEET out of the water!!!!

But ya, I'm just stoked to be out again. It's hella cold though once you get around 60mph lol. :(

i'm jsut glad I don't teach swimming at an outdoor pool anymore. even with the heater on we all needed wetsuits to stay warm during classes.

YEAH!!! It's gorgeous outside! I just got back from a great run! (tires are flat on the jogging stroller, but who cares!) I'm so stoked, I'll be in the garden all day today!!

I hope this lasts, especially for next weekend!!
