Thats awesome. Although I have never owned a put bull...I would love to someday.
I feel if they are raised properly...they will do no harm.
Honestly any animal can snap at any time and I don't think people should be so biased against one breed.
My little beagle snaps all the time.

serious.

i have a little 9 week old chihuahua and he's FAR more unpredictable than the 14 pits i rescued last summer. that little shit is dominant, aggressive, snappy, and moody - with outstanding socialization.

all dogs are loose cannons if poorly socialized. pits seem to attract all the idiot owners because of their size and stigma. they also don't like other dogs, as a rule, unless proper socialization measures have been taken.

pits aren't typically human-aggressive as a breed, either. they weren't called "nanny dogs" for nothing. idiot owners have turned them into the media nightmare they are today, and it's terribly sad.

even articles like this will do little to combat the reputation they've earned through very little fault of their own. :(

I love love love pits and I'm so happy this came out, especially on something as well known and publicized as MSNBC. Maybe people will realize that its not the dogs that are always the problem but the people behind them.

Beagles, Chows, and Dalmations are 3 of the most aggressive dogs out there. I have a Pitbull/Rottweiler and he's the sweetest things you'll ever meet. And my pure-bred blue nose is a sweetheart too. Both of them love our cats and would never hurt them. In fact, they often play bodygaurd to one cat if the other is attacking it.

I guess this article proves it's the people and not the dog. This dog was trained to fight and it wouldn't. Give a pitbull unconditional love and they will show it right back. Besides a Great Dane, I will only own pitbulls.
