was going to order from Amante's and get some dope seafood pasta, but a smoked turkey / bacon chibatta sammich from the deli sounds simpler, and I'm not that hungry, and I need to go there for smokes anyways.

Ghetto Stir Fry!
8 baked chicken legs, remove skin
a generous dash or 2 of some thick black soy sauce
a generous pour of some teriaki sauce
a generous pour of some sweet and sour sauce
a bag of frozen oriental mixed veggies( i think they cook better if you thaw them 1st)
half of an onion, diced into large cubes
2 cups of steamed white rice
a little bit of oil
cook and stir all that up in a large pan for 15mins on medium heat(without the rice)
Total cost?
Like $7
And I have 5-6 large bowls. :)
I dont have to cook until thursday at least, depending on how much my roommates like it. lol

Yea i love filipino food so does my wife. Plus im filpino and mom taught all her recipes since i was a kid.
Mechado is so easy to make
all you need is tomato canned sauce + water( use the can tomato sauce was in)
tender beef sliced
johnny seasoning(to taste)
black pepper(to taste)
cubed beef billuion(sp wrong)(2 cubes)
peas and carrots(frozen in bag)
two potatoes sliced 1/8
2 green peppers slice 1/4
4 cloves of garlic diced
1 medium onion diced
1 teaspoon soy sauce.
Fry beef til golden brown then add garlic, onions. Then add tomato sauce+water(at medium-lo heat) add johnny seasoning, black pepper, cubed beef billiuon, 1 tsp soy sauce. let it simmer for like 45minutes but add potatoes, green peepers and carrots/peas 10 minutes before (at 35 minutes) and stir occasionally during the simmering

oh no!
oh NOOOOOOOO!
i just noticed this lol, that's a lot of mixing dark sauces there! my goodness.
i still maintain that the best way to stir fry is to heat oil until it crackles (sesame oil = great idea) and toss in a heap of ginger slices and let the flavor infuse for about 30 seconds before throwing in the rest of the veggies / meat. garlic too, but to a lesser extent. ginger is the key to stir fry.

high in protein! also high in fat, but not such a big deal if you're getting some exercise. I skip the jelly though, nothing but sugar in that.
i have a pretty healthy diet actually, mostly fish, chicken breast, raw or steamed veggies, and measured portions of carbs like bread and rice (beer gives me more than enough carsb, lol). which is why i can justify eat PB sandwiches for dinner sometimes :)
don't think I'll ever outgrow it either.
