Conversations with Grandma

Here is a conversation I had with my 80 year old grandmother over the weekend.

Setting: Grandma's RV on the afternoon of July 5th, just before the Hoodsport fireworks display & electronica stage.

Grandma: Holly, my dear, I got these glow thingy's.

Me: Glow what's grandma?

Grandma: I got these glowing things I'm supposed to use tonight. But I've never seen them before and don't know what to do with them.

Me: Those are called glow sticks grandma.

Grandma: What do you use them for?

Me: Well, you can give your friends light shows or wave them around in the air while dancing.

Grandma: That sounds lovely.

Me: You can also give your friends back rubs while someone else gives them a light show, they really like that. Or you can put them on strings and spin them around.

Grandma: You'll have to show me how to use them, I guess.

Me: Of course Grandma.

thats better than what my grandma talks about....

for the last 5 months she has been convinced that she can talk to the people on tv and that hilary clinton still needs 3 magical numbers to win the election, and that my grandma has the 3 numbers and she needs to go meet hillary so she can giver her the numbers so she can wil the election..... then goes on about how she has all these play dates with people, but gets pissed off when they dont show up only to catch them on the 5 oclock news.......but she has such a heavy accent its pretty damn hard to understand if you havent been around it....
