View Full Version : Well, at least he drives a Prius

Toyota thinks that sometimes you gotta overlook and forgive a man’s wrongdoing, as long as he is driving a Prius! The new Toyota Prius campaign uses the tagline “Well, at least he drives a Prius” with a backdrop of three pretty bad/naughty scenarios. Killer, shows a man dragging a dead body into the lake. Lover, shows a wife making out with the gardener while the husband is at the doorsteps (How very Desperate Housewives). And Prostitute shows a man in a Prius chatting up a street hooker. Photographer Luke Stettner shot the ads for Bed & Breakfast Advertising Agency, USA. Art direction by David Krulik
I wouldn’t forgive a man killing me or doing my wife unless he has a Lamborghini. That’s how I roll.

Pruis's are over rated! My neighbor bought one two years ago and blabbers about it all the time! He thinks he's some kind of saint because he drives one, even though he's really just a douche bag. I understand their value, but it really does just give yuppies something to brag about while they burn old tires in their back yard!

That's one of my favorite episodes of South Park... because it's totally true. I love how all the kids have resorted to dropping acid because they can't stand their parents any more. I am a big advocate for people trying to change their ways to improve the environment, but that's not going to happen by buying more crap!

can't say i agree given that one of our largest sources of pollution is cars. the vast majority of adult americans who don't live in cities either own a car or aspire to own a car because public transportation outside of cities is so often woefully inadequate or even nonexistent.
not to mention all the nasty political issues surrounding gas/oil, and all the things you support by continuing to purchase it in large quantities. there's really no reason i can think of why anyone should strive to buy gas if avoidable.
i do find the south park episode very entertaining though. everyone knows someone who's obnoxiously preachy about some aspect of their life.
I hear making the special Prius batteries is pretty bad for the environment, they contain heavy metals or something IIRC. Bio-diesel is really the way to go for people who are serious about that shit.
I did enjoy the SP episode immensely, it is pretty much spot on I can say, having spent most of my life in/around SF.
