please talk me out of buying a 16g ipod touch

4G? That is nothing. I know the iTouch is 'neat', and like it was already said...obviously you already have a pc...but 4G? What are you going to put on it?

The 2008 Zune has 120G with wireless transfers, and you can get the Zune pass for $14.95 a month for unlimited music content.

If it is web browsing you want, and all of that jazz...you will want to hold out until next year. If you don't, then next year you will just be replacing it.

just to clarify, i have a 4gig nano right now. i'm looking to get a 16gig touch. i'll keep the next generation zune in mind though. anywhere i can read about it?

apple.com when you get a new comp, they give you an iPod Touch. Its part of their education program. Now I'm sitting sitting at work wanting to do nothing more than mess with my new Comp and iPod. hahahaha

Those ipod touches are really pretty to look at, and carry minimal storage...

I was a bit on the tip of form over function for a while. Was shopping around for a non-apple product, discovered the latest wave of ipod classics had better battery life than other alternatives like zune and zen...

I've had bad experiences with ipods in the past, since the batteries tend to die on me 1 1/2 years into their use. The key is to def go for that 2 year warranty jobbie so they keep handing you new ipods.

I'm rocking an 80gb classic atm. Surprised how thin they got these things, the interface is quite nice, and the display resolution is more than enough to see movies crisply on the small screen.

they don't hand you new ipods for a dead battery, they give you old refurbished/backstock ipods with a new battery. So no one get any ideas that they are going to get a magic upgrade when their battery dies, that's not how it works.

i'm close to two years on my ipod and the battery is still going strong! my old mini has a dead battery, but i haven't bothered to replace it since i only use it in the car with the battery charger.

haha no its really not. i just loaded up an ipod touch 8gb with about 1000 songs and its not enough. i have a small music library though, its only like 25 gigs or something. i cant remember.

i had a 16gb touch for a bit, but i decided to give it to my mom, cause i knew she would be into it and it did not work in the transbay tunnel, (i am finding out, nothing much works under that much water.)
