need some ideas: dnb tent

K, sooo I'm setting up a dnb tent and need a little help with ideas/tips/necessities =)

So far I have a 10x20 foot car port/tent that's going to be raised so it's about 10-12 feet tall. It's going to be outdoors at our place on our property. Not too sure about lighting and such - especially since there's going to be limited sockets. I would totally like lasers but I think that's out of my rental price range. Think of this as a big house party with limited funds.

dnb= camo, red/greeen/yellow/black headband, K, dingy pot smokin hippies.... think JUNGAList "soldier".... freedom fighter regime propaganda, low mellow colors, powerful mesages.... "oldskoolers" who like to complain about how things were.... bob marley and an M-16A/2 with a chick who is wearing a tiger striped top in a basment with heavy bass and high trebble but a killer beat with some whacked out druggie screaming "BOH BOH BOH" at random intervals but definatley out of rythem and people who cant really dance to it unless they are on shrooms

I like this sandbag idea. That would be super easy to do. Go to the surplus store and get amo belts, helmets, flack jackets, etc. The jungle room at Heaven or Hell 2 last year, had a dude dressed up in fatigues that just stood around the whole time. Get some toy machine guns make some land mine signs. Go with green and black xmas lights. Junglists are afraid of lasers and bright lights.

Put evil robots, scifi themed bullshit, paint shit metallic, make things look futuristic, dirty and evil. and yes, the dnb heads arent ravers, they dont like a bunch of rave lights in their eyes, but they usually are a neccesity for outdoor shows, just dont point the lights into their eyes. :)

That's a bad ass idea! Jungle theme is "classic" but this idea rules! Robots make anything cool and they're super easy to make!

I am kinda partial to the jungle theme just because my first wonderful, virgin experience to dnb was in a jungle tent <3 - however I do know a bad ass group of artists that just did a robot/scifi theme. I think that idea could be made up to something 10x better with time and preparation - probably for the next one if one goes alright =)

So I snagged some netting (http://www.gr8gear.com/catalog/images/ProductImages/camo%20netting/camo%20net.jpg) -- used stuff, but the price was right! =)

I think we'll just stick with that, some basic lighting - a green glow from above the netting and possibly some more lighting that can peak through. We have tiki torches out side for the yard - coincidental and I think that's about it =P

Hey… you plagiarized a dream I had and wrote about. The only difference is that I couldn’t count them all and they were skinny, emo cross dressers with knives… and they were listening to some kind of demonic alt rock… in a club/morgue/kitchen type setting. Some of them may have been wearing human leather.
