there's at least one woman in the UK who thinks so.
http://women.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/women/families/article4332635.ece
some excerpts to trigger your interest:
On New Year's Eve Daniel went to a party and by the time he got home I was already asleep. I was extremely sleepy when he crept into my room and curled up on my bed, which was something we'd both done for years, especially if we wanted to share some snippet of gossip. When he started stroking my hair and face it was a surprise, but I could feel myself drifting pleasurably back to sleep as he caressed me gently. Then I became aware of his hand drifting lower and suddenly I was wide awake as he stroked my neck and started sliding his hand down my vest top. I wasn't scared but I was surprised as he started stroking me, though my overriding sensation was one of sheer pleasure. I instinctively lifted my mouth to his as he kissed me and then he hugged me very tightly and left.
I lay in complete confusion with my mind racing and my body totally turned on. All the sex education I'd had said that this was wrong, that it was abuse and incest. But it hadn't felt wrong and I certainly hadn't felt forced. Rather, I felt that Daniel had stopped long before I'd wanted him to. It was hours before I finally fell asleep but I was sure of two things - that I'd really enjoyed it and I still adored my brother.
Over the next few years we had sexual encounters every six months or so, each time going farther and farther until I was 17, when we had full sex for the first time. We both went out with other people and there was never any jealousy, although I found it hard to be physically intimate with anyone else. Part of that was because sex with Daniel was so amazing that I had no patience for all the fumbling that seemed to happen with other boys. The sex was never pre-planned, but just always seemed to happen when there was no chance of being discovered.

why is a newspaper paying someone to print this like it somehow matters?

there was actually a comment that said: "i thought this was the Times, not a tabloid."
i don't question their motives for printing an article like this. sex always sells.
they probably figured they can't write continuously about stabbings and murders that seem to occur more and more frequently in the UK.

i think it was printed (life and style->ladies->family section, which is hardly going to be the HARD NEWS section) because its someone recounting a personal experience that is somewhat controversial and flies in the face of a societal taboo. So its interesting to some. I personally find it a little fascinating, it reminds me of that old Savage Love column where it was mentioned that according to research like 10-15% of the population at least one incest experience. weird.

i just don't get why a piece about how you're proud of being your brother's fuck buddy is worth running in a newspaper. just because someone is proud of doing something most people think is gross makes it worth printing in a mainline publication? well bring on the poo addicts!

well, im all for challenging people's beliefs. there are a few very real hygiene reasons to not engage in shitplay... not really the same for incest, where the only dangers are in reproduction. but sure, why not run an article on scat fiends? i think it wouldnt go over as well as the incest article though.

Yeah, but he was answering why its article-worthy while scat may not be (to this particular periodical). "because its illegal" actually does make it worth talking about imho, for the very reason you just mentioned.

i know it's ultimately because its sensational, but there are tons of gross, sometimes llegal things that people are proud of. it just seems weird to see that sort of thing anonymously published so widely, like it's important. seems more the realm of the nutty blog or cheesey porno digest.

im not sure the online life and style->family->ladies section of the times.co.uk really qualifies as THAT widely published to me, did this story end up on the wire and get picked up by a bunch more publications or something? i mean, how many times have we seen articles about prostitution or drug use or other socially unacceptable things in relatively large publications?

this woman, quite frankly, is in serious denial. she may be able to write / speak eloquently enough, but there was something seriously wrong with her tone. she almost sounded brainwashed.
she's absolutely full of shit when she says that there was only one time when she felt a little bit of envy after they broke it off. i'm sorry, but if the love of your ENTIRE life, best friend, best lover, best family member (eeeewwwwwwww), best EVERYTHING to you, picked someone else, she should be devastated. even if she ever just flat out admitted that the relationship IS WRONG, the fact still remains, unfortunately, that he was and is the most important person in her life. there's no fucking way she's being honest about not being torn up SOMEWHERE.
i think she is probably barely holding on to her sanity but all the denial and rationalizations and passive-aggressive competitiveness with her brother's wife (she nonchalantly said soemthing like "she views me as an emotional rival, and that's true" as one example) are painting just a smooth enough gloss over the surface to make her appear perfectly sane in all of this.
her language is extremely deceitful. she's trying to make sibling-cest sound rational and positive but the truth for her (or anyone!!) is probably horribly opposite, and she just doesn't know how to deal with it any other way. the problem is, in trying to keep her own life together, she's putting out the message that somehow everyone else should accept this happening in their own lives...? like she's encouraging it for other people because of how she needs to pretend to still be able to make it through her own day. that is a very dangerous type of person in general...it's subtle manipulation based on blindness and carried through with a silver tongue. *shudders* good for her for feeling like she had to share, but read the article closely and you can see she's absolutely full of shit.
the part that really got me was this:
Incest is so often spoken about in the same breath as abuse, but if you're close in age and equal in relationship terms then it's entirely different. Of course abuse happens, but it can happen in any sexual relationship and there's an expectation that a family member would never hurt you in the way that someone else could.
yeah, because we all know that families are perfect, and relativs NEVER hurt eachother, it's only "other" people
serious, serious denial.
i wonder how many people read this and thought "hey maybe she's right!"
*shudders again*

0_o uhmmmm
i just saw this porn clip of (supposedly) a mom and daughter banging this guy for $2000... they looked like they could be mom and daughter... or they were great actors.
either way, it was kind of hot? imagine banging your wife/gf AND her mom at the same time (if the mom's hot)? that's like every man's dream innit?

.......um. see that's something i've kind of questined myself. why is incest bad but not when it's sisters / mother-daughter? at least in the porn world anyway. but really, why is incest ok if it's two hot females? it's still gross. i never got it i guess. like those triplets that do porn together? *shudder* foul.
