Iraq war books

This is my favorite stuff to read lately. Most of is so-so but every so often I pick up and read a good account of what's going over there such as "Generation Kill" or "The Last True Story I'll Ever Tell".

This stuff is cutting edge REAL drama from person of our generations, if you haven't read some yet - do. Here's an excerpt from one book..

"This little form scampered up onto my uniform, nails and teeth exposed trying like hard to get me before I easily knocked it off me.
We lit it up with a tac light, on the ground writhe a little retarded girl.

"Fucking retarded and living in Iraq. God must really hate you little girl".

Jarhead is about the first "middle eastern conflict" and the book is much better than the film, which I loved. You should read it if you like the newer accounts.
