Hiya,
I was wondering if anyone had a customer service e-mail addresse for sonic groove records in NYC, I placed an order about a week ago and never heard back, no confirmation #, no virtual receipt, no card, no flowers, nothin... images/smilies/frown.gif

After looking around their site and even joining their mailing list, I've still not been able to find a way to contact them about my order status, and this is kindof an emergency as I've got one of the tracks I ordered stuck in my head and I'm pretty sure I won't be able to sleep normally until I have that record...(Mateo & Matos presents: Digital Sources ep, on Distant Music) in my possession.

At this point I'm going to need start looking for it locally again, and end up with two copies eventually. It's either that or go mad...heh.. Anyway, if anyone can help out with the addresse, it would be much appreciated images/smilies/smile.gif

cheers,
gia

I have ordered from them and they don't send out confirmations until the order actually ships. You should eventually get a notice from UPS about tracking information but it won't be until the records ship. Sucks I know but what can you do. The email for them is shop@sonicgroove.com or you would be better off calling them directly @ 212.675.5284. Your usually better off ordering new releases from somewhere like Groovetech or special ordering from one of the local record stores. I like the idea of ordering online for some things but I think it's good to support the local stores so they can continue to bring in more records. The guys at Zion's Gate have alot of house and so does Beats International. Distance is pretty well distributed so you shouldn't have too much trouble. Sonicgroove is good though for those out of the ordinary records you may never find any place else.

Just trying to help,
Good Luck

I just noticed that the record is from 1997, so I guess they were a good option.

Hope you get it!

Thanks so much for the information, and yeah, I do almost all my record shopping at Groovetech (who have recently been out of everything, and the listening lab has been a bit buggered). It's nice that they're just down the road, as is Beats International which has long been my favourite local shop.

I've been to Zion's Gate once and noticed they were a bit pricey on the imports, not sure about domestics though, perhaps I should have another look.

As far as the record in question goes, I ended up ordering another one (used) through Gemm from a dealer in the UK...Now if I could only find DJ Duke's You Got Me Runnin'....ack, it's always something... images/smilies/wink.gif

Thats funny you are looking for that track, I have been following the thread on Jeno's message board about that EP. Seems to be in the minds of a few people right now : )
Do you by chance know if it is Volume 3 or 4 of the Techdisco EPs?
Just curious,

I'm pretty sure it's volume 3, and last I checked it was going for about $25.US, I'll most likely be visiting Orpheum later this week after school, probably Wednesday or Thursday afternoon, if I see you there Kim, I'll be sure to say Hiya, images/smilies/smile.gif
