I was looking for the tracklisting of a Farina Cd today on Amazon and it said that you can preorder Vol. 3 of this series now. Supposed to come out on March 20th.

Good stuff, I was hoping he would put out another one.

Yeah...I second that. This Cd is ultra-funky. Very tightly mixed (like you would expect less) and it is just right on with how it flows. Highly recommended. I like it much more than the previous two.

Has anyone seen Mark spin a set like this live? I would love to check it out.

y'know, i finally hopped on the clue train and started listening to mark farina, damn!

i may be persuaded to actually buy this cd *gasp* farina is mighty tasty, i can't believe i've been in the dark for so long!

Mark played Mushroom Jazz themed shows twice at what used to be the Zoot Suite. I was there bustin out and they were both dope of course. The new CD is ill too. Mark Farina is someone we definetly need to see more of in the NW. I saw that he is doing a Mushroom Jazz tour this spring, keep your fingers crossed...

Mushroom Jazz tour in the spring? Are you sure you don't mean the Sounds of Om tour coming the next few months?

That would be pretty cool to see though. I have anyway wondered how much it would cost a promoter to get Mark up her, have him play like a 2 hour Mushroom jazz set early on, then a break for a warm-up dj, and then have him play a full on house set later. That would be pretty cool.

This CD absolutly RAWKS!!!! I love this new blend of Jazz with trip/hip hop flava in there also. Been playin it in my car non stop now for 2 days. I really do hope he comes up here in the spring, wouldnt miss his show for anything. I know he was here in December so hope he makes it around again. For all those who dont have his newest CD, PICK IT UP>>>>>

Youre right, it is the Sounds of Om tour.

One of those times Mark was in P-town he played a deep house show and a Mushroom Jazz show in one weekend. Not quite as good as one night, but it kind of becomes one night after a while....

I'll be playing a mushroom jazz/trip-hop influenced set at 4:20 this year for all the mellow people. Ah, the return of the chill room.
