work is too slow for me to be able to finish this car, and need to pay some bills, so I'm just cutting my losses and moving on.

PRICE: $2000 obo for everything
ITEM: 1987 turbo supra
DESCRIPTION: project I can't afford to finish and have to sell.
EMAIL: adidas16vgti@hotmail.com
LOCATION: Pacific WA 98047
PAYMENT PREFERENCE: Cash

I no longer can keep / work on the car where it sits, and I'm now broke, so it has to be sold soon!

I bought this car about 2 years ago from a co-worker, who I believe was the 2nd owner, he got it from a older lady. He took it to canada to have the JDM engine swapped in, which has around 80k miles according to him. about 2 years after the swap the HG started leaking a small amount of exhaust into the coolant, so he parked it, and later sold it to me. He also got a lot of new parts from the dealership, like a new radiator. I bought it as a project back when work was busier and I had the time and money for a build.

The car is in amazing shape, about 220k on the chassis. never wrecked, has one small dent on drivers door, and some spiderweb cracks in the paint on the bumpers. Interior is in amazing condition, at least a 9/10. 5spd, factory LSD, car shifts and drives perfect, very well taken care of, and had ZERO problems when I bought it, aside from the small HG leak.

I tore it down, had the head machined by a good shop, the shop also said its the best supra head they have seen, and was in perfect shape. block was flat so I just cleaned it up really well. Installed a 3 layer cometic MHG, torqued down to 87ft lbs with ARP studs.

got a generic turbo kit off of ebay, during the project the car was broken into (no damage) when I had it parked outside briefly. so I had to buy a new BOV, intercooler off ebay as well. all the turbo goodies are generic. 3" intercooler piping is almost done, upper needs to be re-routed due to it being too close to the turbo. The pictures show how it sits now as far as assembly. It could also be put back to stock and be a great reliable daily. I have all the stock components still, except I sold the stock IC, IC piping, airbox / maf, which can be found for around $150 for everything.. Also had to saw-zaw the factory downpipe / 1st cat out since the bolts were seized, so that part of the exhaust needs to be replaced.

I'd like to sell everything I have, and not part out. Unless someone makes me a good offer on the car / stock components, then I'll sell off all the aftermarket parts after the car is sold. I'd rather just sell it all at once, I'm open to reasonable offers, although my asking price is already less than half of what I have into it (and I got a good deal on everything), I need it gone soon.

I can take more specific pictures and answer more specific questions on monday, as the car is at my work.

I have also purchased:
~"godspeed" 3" intercooler
~3" IC piping, with a TON of extra piping (I got 2 universal kits)

~good boost gauge
~custom machined 3" turbo spacer
~full gasket kit, with many new gaskets installed
~new oil catch can
~Custom made turbo oil lines, and custom machined oil return line fitting for block

~and a bunch of stuff I'm forgetting, I just wanted to get this post up tonight, and forgot to take notes before I left work today. I haven't worked on the car in 6 months so my memory is a little foggy.

The bad:
~Shift knob was also stolen
~one of the valve stems leaks so the tire will go flat in about 2 days, I have 2 extra tires, but some of the ones that are on there should probably be replaced since the car has been sitting.
~factory turbo has a slight amount of shaft play.
~Loaned the battery to a friend, who ended up putting it in a car he sold.

what it needs as far as finishing it how I was building it:
~MAFT-PRO,
~exhaust,
~upper IC piping finished,
~dip-stick needs to be re-mounted / routed.
~tach and boost gauge installed
~catch can installed
~air filter / intake to turbo purchased / made + installed

or again, put it back to stock and sell off the go-fast parts, and you got a really nice, really cheap supra!! :D (I don't have the time or money to do this either anymore, sadly)

I'll answer any questions I can this weekend, Monday I'll be able to answer any others / take more pictures after work.

$1500? vroom vroom n shit!

I paid 1500 for it bone stock with a blowd head gasket, which was fixed professionally, and built to handle 600+hp. And dropped another 2 grand into it!

Someones gotta have a small penis and time on their hands!

Hey Stevo. Curious about the drivability of the vehicle to get it to the barge and shipped up to the AK. I shouldn't even be considering it but I am a big fan of these cars since I owned one and blew my last one up just out of oly at 115 mph.

It rolls just fine ;)

I really don't have the time / money / motivation (and no longer the indoor space) to build it back to stock to drive it. and if I was able to finish the build, I wouldn't sell it. heh.

So you'd have to have it towed, either by tow truck, or a buddy with a trailer.
