I am selling Denon DN-D9000 dual CDJs.

These were purchased specifically for Venetian Snares' use at the In Loving Memory memorial at Seattle Center back in April of 2006.
He played on them twice that evening, as seen in this picture:

Venetian Snares, Doormouse, Donald Glaude, and DJ Dan all used them that evening. They then went back into their box and have only been used a couple times since then in small, clean settings.
They're still in nearly *perfect* condition. The only thing wrong is that one of the pitch sliders fell off, so I put a new one on that's not a perfect match (just the plastc doohikey, the electronics are fine).

These are AMAZING CDJs, and this particular pair have a unique history attached. I've held on to them for sentiment, but really, they should be put to use.
Some of my favorite features are:
Alpha Track - allows you to play/mix two tracks off a single CD.
The effects!
Rotary track selection and fast forward - different from say the Pioneers, but ultimately way more efficient.
Can play MP3s!
Sampling!
Digital Out
(see below for more detailed features)

Check out this guy's videos to see just some of the cool things these CDJs can do:

Price
Because of the circumstances surrounding that event, we got a very special deal, and paid about $1,100 for them new (they were ~$1,500 at the time).
The internet tells me that these are still going for ~$1,300 new, and about $1000 open box (which is basically what this is).
I'd like to get somewhere close to that $1K, though I'll consider every offer.

considering the antiquity of this style of CDJ, compared to modern CDJs they are very lacking.
I sold my CDJ 800s a while back and often wish I had a new set. Take $200??

In what regard are they lacking?
The Pioneer single CDJs style dominance is a PNW phenomenon. Denons are very common throughout the world, and dual CDJs from a variety of manufacturers are still common.
Technically, these do more than the 800's (or 1000s), they just have a smaller platter.

funny there are a LOT of things about the PNW that are only relevant to this area
and when people step outside of this box they are amazed to see other gear being more predominantly used

good luck still selling these :):) someone should jump on them

They may be feature packed, but personally I prefer simplicity. When you add a shitload of buttons, they typically exist to annoy and seems always the wrong one gets pushed at the wrong time. All I need is pitch control and a jog wheel, nothing else matters.
$250

Then get a set of $250 crappy ass American DJ brand cdjs.

The Denons are for professionals and kick ass amateurs that aren't content to simply play other people's music, but want control over the structure and sound of that music.
