When I first saw this listing on the forum I was excited. Upon opening the thread though was let down.

Not very officially looking imo.

I'm surprised that USC hasn't secured this guy for Freaknight, if there's a chance he'll be state-side during October. Deadmou5 + massive = mind blowing awesomeness.

well -- showbox shows usually tend not to graphically describe shows -- especially on forums -- im sure they will have more info as time comes

I still think its funny how many panties got in a bunch on dude making a point, no reason to defend or fight it in my eyes, but I do find it cheeky, that cow had to be skewered at some point right? ... soooo... HOW BOUT A REWIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIND>>>>>>>>

deadmau5, pronounced 'dead mouse'. said he will only perform live shows of his own music and think DJ's should be extinct. he says, "it puts me to fucking sleep to be quite honest, i don't really see the technical merit in playing two songs at the same speed together and it bores me to fucking tears and hopefully, with all due respect to the DJ type that will fucking go the way of the dinosaur, id like them to disafuckingpear".

Joel continued, "its so middle man, they're like fucking lawyers you need them, but they're fucking cunts. god bless them, they're my number one customer right so I'm not gonna go diss every fucking dj, but to say you've become this massive up on a podium performer by playing other peoples productions at the same speed as someone else productions and fading between the two of them, I don't get it."

HA! Actually, its pretty hilarious. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to dodge some bricks from angry dudes with records.

point: producing electronic music takes more talent than just blending two records

counterpoint: nobody would know who the fuck this jackass is if it wasn't for djs playing his tunes.

It will be real interesting to see how many people show up to this, with the poor promotion, change of date, and how he has pissed off alot of people in the past year!!

This event has been MOVED ONE DAY, to Sunday 10/4 at the Downtown Showbox. The whole threat should ALSO be moved.

I do not understand why you guys have to talk shit about him . Do you really think that this makes you better than him? :/ It's not like your opinion matters to him.

Personally I love deadmau5 and I cant wait to see him.

Wow Goner you are really upset. I hope you can get over it without putting yourself in jail for assault. Have you ever met Joel? Do you know him as a person? You have an opinion about his music. You have that right. You
may not like his comments. You have that right. Attacking him personally prior to actually knowing him? Well you have the right to be ignorant as well, I suppose. I have seen him on numerous occasions. Not because I've paid for a ticket but because I am one of the faceless people who make all of you performers look and sound good. I can honestly say Joel knows how to rock a crowd. He is a great live performer. I have felt the ground shake from kids bouncing to what he throws down. Is that not the point of performing, to get a group to come together for a time? Why so much venom towards him? He does it different than you not better not worse just different. You are judging him on a couple of things he has said. Can you honestly tell me you've never said something stupid or less thought out than it should have been? Difference is that he's known worldwide and so people quote him. When and if you reach that level of global exposure you will be perfect and wonderful. And nothing you say will be offensive or controversial to anyone.
