Yes, it's true... there's a cable access tv show called Dance ODance in Olympia.

I think it's a neat idea, however, everytime I've tuned in the music is lacking, how can I say it... punch.

Justin B??? is that you? you're on here? You should take your dancing skills to some raves buddy because you're wasting your efforts on Olympia. Heh... just kidding images/smilies/smile.gif

it doesn't have to lack punch.
i'm open to suggestions.
no kidding. just dancing. whatever works.
so many namby pamby complainers never go anywhere with their dancing.
one thing we don't have is a GIGANTIC sound system, but we definitely go for the trance.
i challenge anyone out there to submit 15 minutes of recorded material or EVEN 3 minutes of dance.
don't make me come get you.

Justin,

Ooops, that's what I meant by "punch," the lack of a sound system. I know that you'll probably play anything we give you. images/smilies/smile.gif It's hard to dance to a boom box in an open studio, when you're used to hugging huge speakers that slowly destroy your internal organs with the bass.

You know what would be a good idea? Organizing one show where you hire out a sound system and a real rave DJ, scheduling it as a pre-meet before an Olympia rave and then publicizing it on here. You'll get at least a dozen and more likely more kids wanting to dance. I'm absolutely sure that you can get a DJ to play for free if you give them credit. There are some people willing to donate a sound system and mixer etc for free too if it's just for an hour.

So probably the best thing to do is find out when a local party is being planned where people will be traveling to Oly for it. We've been having an average of one a month on a friday or saturday night. Then come back here and post the info for your show, then get the sound system for us somehow. You can go to the Collaboration section and ask if anyone can help with the sound system and if anyone would like to spin for free.

Hope this helps.
