HOLY FUCKING SHIT DID GEORGE BRING THE FURY!

If you've been in a cave for the past decade or something and don't know who George Acosta is, let me edumacate you:

He's ranked the 6th best DJ in all of Miami:
www.thedjlist.com/world/United_States/Miami/ (http://www.thedjlist.com/world/United_States/Miami/)
He's ranked the 38th top DJ in the entire USA:

He's ranked the 67th top DJ for Trance in the WORLD:
www.thedjlist.com/djs/genre/trance/50/ (http://www.thedjlist.com/djs/genre/trance/50/)
He's ranked 227th in the world overall:

George Acosta has always been one of my all time favorites. Unlike many DJs these days, he's not forgotten that he IS a TRANCE DJ (first and foremost) and doesn't puss-out and play tech-house-shit or any of the other "trendy" styles. Just to ensure there would be no misunderstandings, I called MarQ and had him call George and lay the law down. ;)

Man, he just brings the fury and the anthems. And from one choon to another is just favorite after favorite after favorite. I haven't danced that much at LSC in a very long time. The crowd was vibing and it had to be one of the biggest Phase 3 Events nights there ever. So many good friends and friendly faces. I don't know the exact head-count, but it was a full-house for sure. Not so packed you couldn't move or get to the bar either. Just right.

I arrived around 11pm, just in time to see the tail end of Jason LeMaitre's set and while I like what he plays at Trinity's Blue Room, I loved what he was playing Friday. It seemed that he wasn't as housey and that always brings a grin to my grill. :D Also, congratulations are in order, as he flew to Denver CO the next morning to open for George AGAIN! That's so awesome. Well done son.

Overall, if you didn't go to this night, you really missed out on one of those rare but special nights where EVERYTHING was perfect. Definitely an E-ticket attraction...

Really took me on a journey and it was a great night. First time seeing him live and it was a great night all in all! Was Jason the DJ opener in the black Pioneer Tshirt? He had me going early with his set!

Was it Chris Paape? http://chrispaape.com -- a good friend and local favorite for sure. Get on his email list and see him all around town. Trinity, LSC, boat parties, etc.

Insane… that is about the only way to describe it. It filled up early & stayed packed till the lights came on. Derrick did a great job starting the night off, & Chris Paape followed with more killer progressive, & Jason LeMaitre set It up for George perfectly. As Daevid said, I had a talk with George when he got in to Seattle, & he was happy to hear it was a trance crowd! Well he clearly took my advice & brought the trance fury. A great set that started off more proggy but quickly got to the hands in the air bangers. Thanks to everyone who came out & supported this night, its was by far one of the best shows we (Phase 3 Events) has had at LSC, & we will defiantly have George back again. Next up… Sept 18th the hottest name in UK Electro House Will Bailey & Oct 16 the return of 4 Strings!!

Dmsizzle, thanks for the compliment. I had a great time. I was so f'n stoked to walk in to a packed house at 10:00PM! It's been a while since I've seen a floor going that good so early. Props to Derrick G on that. It was my first time seeing Derrick and I was well impressed. I was totally groovin while I was getting my s*#t together to go on. Had to love "Bring the Noise" near the end of his set.

Jason played awesome as well. Well right up until there was 15 seconds of silence.. :D Sorry Jason, you know I love you. In his defense there was a CDJ meltdown so that technical glitch was out of his control. And George. Good lord man! That was some good trance right there!

Two thumbs up on the whole night!

when I came in Chris was playing some awesome tunes! Loved your set! Then Jason got on, and out of the sets Ive seen him play that was a personal favorite. It just seemed to fit my mood and the club vibe perfectly. Nice job handling the glitch, Jason. It didnt seem to mess you up at all. Glad I had a chance to chat with you for a few afterwards too. When George stepped up he did something that always kind of bothers me. I'm pretty sure he cranked the volume way up, or maybe my ears were playing tricks on me. Louder does not equal better; in a small club like LSC especially. I loved every track he played and the flow was nice, but the volume was killin me so I stepped out every 20min or so and came back in. I know, ear plugs, I know. They were accidentally left behind on my kitchen counter. They wont leave my car from now on so I'll always have some.;)

Awesome job putting this show together! That was a great turn out and everybody was having a blast. Thats what I like to see. :)

Does LSC sell earplugs? I've been to many clubs where they sell those little foam ones for like $.50 or $1.00 a pack -- usually you just got ask the bartenders. Maybe LSC should consider buying some for this reason? Worse case, I usually shove some little wads of toilet paper in my ears. I hear you (no pun intended) about the volume at LSC though -- walking in the front door is always a jolt to the ol' auditory sense with a 10' speaker blasting the left side of your noggin. I don't know how those GoGo dancers do it -- standing in front of the speakers all night.

I gotta agree with everything posted already...when an average Seattle club night only lasts 4 hours, it is AWESOME to see so many folks make the most of it by showing up early! I have to admit i missed Derrick G's set but it must have been worth the 10pm madness that greeted me when I arrived!

Chris Paape played darker than I'm used to hearing from him. Anyone who knows me knows i dig the dark stuff so I was loving that ish! Chris' sets get better EVERY TIME I hear him. When is this guy gonna top out? :-)

I had a lot of fun playing this new sound I've been digging. It's fluffier than tech house and grittier than progressive trance....somewhere in between. I also bit every bullet that the sound gremlins shot at the stage that night. From having the CDJ overheat to the monitors turning off & on and connection problems when the new CDJ got swapped in. All in good measure though so things were set to jet when George came on. My night was made when George asked for a copy of the last track I played...a re-edit I made of a classic Nat Monday track :D

Then Acosta....man is that guy good. No holds barred trance the way it used to be played. Yes it was too loud at times (which I think was the monitors still having issues) but damn was it proper! The best part was when the unicorn walked into the middle of the dance floor and laid that big rainbow turd! (note: that really didn't happen)

Much respect to P3E and all performers (NADIA!!!) for a great night!
