It's really hard for me to sum up how awesome this night was for me in total. So I'll just say that I had an absolute blast and felt like the happiest guy in the world for about 5 hours. I love the Shameless guys.

HUGE thanks to everyone that came out to the 'Wild Beats' show at Chop Suey Friday night. It was so much fun and so really weird all at once. I was both thrilled and shocked to not just see so many people out for essentially a breakcore show, but to see so many people get into the theme and the ridiculousness of it all. Lots of different scenes coming together for that one. Also, a lot of friends/fam kicked down their time and energy to make it happen. We should have pictures up on our blog tonight.

I was there.
Leigh and I were in the back most of the time though, except for flashbulb. The volume in there was ridiculous.

I had a black real leather jacket on, prolly stood out while there, most the time I spent in the backroom as well
though whomever was playing @ the 10pm slot in the rumpus room dropped a few tracks I would drop
all around was a really fun event (I showed CS to a friend since he's never been before but totally knows where the club is located)
i stayed for most of Ben's set but was feelin a bit tired
(oh yea, the lady doing the coat check....i figured a stool sitting next to a bar/counter is probably for patron's use, not for you to "use" and stand the whole time instead) thats my only gripe :)

I wasn't in the back room, we were in the main room in the back. :)
probably why we missed each other.

Thanks for the props, guys! As Recess already mentioned, this was a huge endeavor with tons of support from the Shameless community. We were all REALLY STOKED to see so many diverse heads out for such a crazy show. I loved that each part of the night brought different folks to the dancefloor and that everyone was supportive of each other's quirky and fun musical tastes. The Flashbulb and Kid606 both DOMINATED the dancefloor in their own special ways and the locals in both rooms set the night up really well. I'd also like to give special thanks to Fukumup for making a 5-hour trek from Portland in what was essentially a monsoon to play a crazy break-dinocore set! The hat looked great in the pics, man!
Nikon - The Rumpus Room at 10:00 was Seattle favorite Michito. The Monster Lounge was the Googly VS. Jake Jay. All of them really held it down for the opening slots.

yuppers i stood mainly by the coat check, middle of both rooms, or in the monster room
i was actually pretty happy to see some people get down with everything in each room the whole time i was there
diversity ftw
naturebot and fukumup dropped great sets....need to keep my eyes on these two (I believe were the ones playing at the time)
the one in the main room im referring to was wearing a black crow mask??

That would be none other than Mr. DJ Kadeejah Streets. He played a killer set... and boy, was that crow mask creepy.

BTW, thanks for the love Nikon. You've been supporting some of our endeavors for a while now. Much respect!
Thanks also to IrisSilverMoon. I noticed you reposted this party up on the drum and bass site. Thanks for your help getting the word out! I tried to log onto that site, but apparently my email address is banned??? Weird.

I figured it's time to post something a little more detailed now that I've wrapped my head around everything. I rarely get a chance to cut lose like this (even though as I type this I sorta realize that between Idaho and Decibel it's been happening more frequently) and expose that fun loving party guy that I am.
So for one, let me thank the Shameless guys for letting me be a part of this night. It's rare for me to play big shows anymore so it was a really big surprise to get invited to play this. I had a blast and playing with Jake both at this show and in practice was a lot of fun. Thank you to all the people who came out freakishly early to support. I got to drop a few tracks that I've always wanted to play (2 Phat Cunts - Ride and the Asad Rizvi Mix of Affrodizziac) Plus thanks for making this a costume party. For some reason being the Cookie Monster really brought out the crazy side in me.
A special thanks to Anton for keeping my drunk self in check. Dude deserves a medal next time I see him. Or at least a few drinks on me.
Last but not least thanks to all the artists that played. I managed to get a few friends out from Bremerton to see people play and we had a blast even though most of them left before the headliners (damn Bremerton Ferry!). Kadeejah Streets and The Naturebot in particular had me very impressed and I heard Michito was doing the front room proper.
Honestly I don't remember much about the headliners. We're they good? Honestly I don't remember much past Kid 606, but I don't remember not dancing my ass off with a smile on my face so I'm guessing it was pretty great.

The only lame thing for me about the entire event was somehow losing my needles when the show got out. I don't know if they were misplaced or someone jacked 'em. I do know to not be so trashed at the end of my own show next time... heheheh.

So I finally got internet...
I can't say too much of this party because I bailed fairly early in the night; a serious lack of sleep had me not feeling all that great. However, the time that I spent there was an absolute blast. The decorations were amazing and the time and energy that was spent setting it all up was clearly evident in the quality of the work.
The costumes were fantastic, too. It was great to see so many people outside of the Shameless crew that had put a lot of effort into their attire that evening.
Thanks to everyone who rocked it out early-on in the lounge. I had an absolute blast playing there and it was amazing to see such a warm, energetic reception so early in the evening. Big props to Shameless for booking Adrian and I.
