I was just wondering why everyone is making such a big deal about Equality. I swear I've talked to like 100 people just from my high school who said that they were going. Should I buy my tickets pre-sale(how much is it anyway?)? Should I get there early? I really appreciate any info that anyone can give me. Thanks, Crystal

because some "rave" promoters flyer in malls and high schools, so now everyone in high school is all into "raving" at naf. :P
there also could be a few people who are geninely interested in the musik and
are excited about that.. heh.
as for presale, i'd recommend it.

sorry but i think you are wrong about it only being because of flyers in malls....i mean HELLO---two of Seattles phattest DJ's on 2x4s Donald Glaude and Jimmy Hoffa nuff said....

i didn't say it was *only* because of widespread flyering.
here, i'll quote myself. http://www.hyperreal.org/~gruvnkim/ubb/wink.gif

exces - i haven't heard of any smaller events on the 21st. phat bastards is throwing tech files volume 1. if you like harder musik, it could be fun. as far as larger events go, i like phat bastards.
i think the venue is fx but i'm not sure.
kashmere - oh, one more thing.. i think it's cool that you mentioned the local dj's before the out of town ones.. seems like every time i hear someone talking about a larger event they're talking about how excited they are to see blahblah out of town dj... (not that there is anything wrong with that! but cool to see people supporting locals) anyway. random comment...

Well flying f---! Grrr... Oh well I guess I'll still be going. I don't like NAF!!! I have been planning on going to this since Unite though. Hmmm...there better be a TON of cool board kids there! *sighs* I wish I could just beam myself up to Seattle instead of sit on my ass for 5 hours in a car!
For what it's worth.. I was really let down by "are you experienced" last Saturday. I had fun, but decided to re-evaluate weather or not I wanted to keep going to NAF... However, I am looking forward to Equality now, LOTS of friends are going to be there (remember 12:30 at the bottom o' the stairs), the music should be incredible. Presale is $16 (unlike the $25 last week) so I think it will be worth another shot. It's likely that I will shy away from NAF in the future, but this week lets all show up and give the place a good vibe! I don't know who all was at Rock the Bells, but lets make Equality like that! http://www.hyperreal.org/~gruvnkim/ubb/smile.gif

I'm not going to Equality because its at NAF. I'm getting tired of going and it's definetly not worth paying $25.00 of $30.00. I am looking forward to Tech Files at fx club on the 21st. I will definately be there. Any one know where electrosynthetic is at? Hopefully it's not at NAF.

I don't have the highest thoughts toward NAF either but I went to Sweet 2000, ( more like un Sweet). Not to mention I paid $97 for some lame spinners. This will a good party, especially if we keep the cool and paint the vibes. I will check out the peeps at the bottom of the stairs at 12:30.---c Dog
Oh yeah tickets, $21 at Platium, get them soon.

I am also going... Keep a eye or 3 out for my x-mas light pants (the origional light pants, watch out for cheap immitations) And just to spite y'all I'll be at the top of the stairs at 12:30 =oÞ~~~
Unlike Molecule lets all be there and stick around and chat, shall we? but its kinda hard to chat at the bottom of the stairs, where its loud and over crowded.. hence I'll be at the top =o)
See everyone there!!!! =o)
(And if you can't meet people there, 'member "Offline" on frb 5th.... All the cool kids are going, aren't you?)

Kim- I don't see why it would be so hard to believe that the local guys get more attention than the out of town DJ's.. in this town Jimmy Hoffa's name is as good as gold. I almost wonder if the guy will even be able to make all the parties his name is used to advertise. Anyway, I hope to see a lot of you there next Saturday, let's show all those phony mall kids what raving is all about, maybe we'll recruit a few new believers http://www.hyperreal.org/~gruvnkim/ubb/smile.gif

Hehe..I'm REALLY excited for this party now...well when I'm done recovering from last night. But no Oregon kids will want to carpool with us unless you too wanna have fun with the bars in Whistler the night before...hell then Seattle kids can come too! It's ALL ABOUT MAXX FISH!!! =D *repeats to self "12:30 stairs, 12:30 stairs..."* Eh...I decided I'm not doing anything special look wise for this party...I just need to decide whether to wear my hat or my visor...UGH...decisions decisions! Lee..which one? maybe I'll bring both and switch as needed! LOL http://www.hyperreal.org/~gruvnkim/ubb/smile.gif =\ it's damned near impossible to find visors now too =( I need a new one! See you kids in a few days!

12:30 by the stairs huh? http://www.hyperreal.org/~gruvnkim/ubb/smile.gif Sounds like I need to be there to.
I'll wear my hawaiian shirt since I guess that has become my "party" shirt, and I'll have a blue lightsaber, or a green one, depending on if I buy a new one, well hell, I might just get me one of those Darth Maul Double ended ones if I have the money http://www.hyperreal.org/~gruvnkim/ubb/wink.gif
I hope to meet some of you there at Equality, and give every one of you a big HUG http://www.hyperreal.org/~gruvnkim/ubb/smile.gif
So if you see someone wearing a White and Blue Hawaiian Shirt, with a black Chronic Fatigues Visor, maybe carrying a lightsaber, run up to him and give him a hug and introduce yourself, make sure to include your internet handle. My name is Jason, but you can Call me Toasty if you want.

because i hear people speaking all the time
about events and saying things like "oh.. that one has just local dj's.. but this one
has blahblahblah from blahblah city! wow!"
as if being from another city automatically makes one a better dj. http://www.hyperreal.org/~gruvnkim/ubb/wink.gif

Really?!?! I never hear anyone talking about a DJ based solely on their location. True I get extremely thrilled when an awesome out-of-town DJ comes but it's because of them and their talent...not their city. Like I wouldn't say "oooo...Siren is coming...look she's from SF!" I'd be more like.."OOOooo...Siren is coming! She throws down the phattest jungle tracks!" Maybe that's just me and my group of friends though...

Hey Toasty!
You can get the double sided Darth Maul light sabers at toys R us for 9.99, and they have ones that vibrate for 14.99! (splurge, and go for the vibrations, hehehe) See you there!
(Pixie uses trippevixen's repetition approach, and says to self...)

DOH!.. I got one of the Double Ended Lightsabers.. but it doesn't permenantly glow, it only flashes on contact with something else... (unless I can find a way to replace the strobe light with a more permenant fixture or something..)... either that.. or I hope that the red glows in black light.
