Would people be interested in a weekly Trance / Progressive House night in Seattle ? We are currently in the process of locating a suitable venue for such a club (ideally multi room) and would like to know from you guys who keep the scene alive over here whether or not there is an interest. Eventually we will need local DJ's, flyer designers, light and sound people but initially we would like to get a feel for whether or not there will be an interest.
All comments and ideas very welcome

You have gotten me interested!!!
I would attend and I am sure a major
group of this area would follow you for this
cause. I too would be interested in donating
my off time to this cause... The only bad
thing is I am in the navy... I do get time
off... This would also help myself and others
to meet other peepz and also at the same time
enhance ourselves!!! Give me more info bro...
such as when this would actually go into
effect... A little reminder... I will be going to Fl. from june 7th-June22. But when
I get back I would love to involve my free time with you... My ship starting in Oct.
will be in dry dock for atleast a year and
several months!! Well, PLUR and please respond... More power to you and keep da faith!!! Joseph- ENERGiZER

I love your'e idea I think that a Trance night is greatly needed, it's a style of music that's neglected too much in the club scene. I would also be interested in helping with the sound, right now I'm going to school for Audio Production so I have some experience in that area and would love to lend my skills to the effort.

Hey there,
I am going to put my yes vote in for a progressive house/ trance night in seattle. I would enjot that greatly. however, let me stick my two cents in as well. The only problem I can see with this is that when a club limits itself to playing just one style of music, people tend to get hyped abut it at first [those who like that particular style of music (jungle, hip-hop, etc.) byut, then quickly become tired of it. Its a been there, heard that like of thing.] Instead you might try to find a new unused location, get an incredible sound system, and invest inn creating a new atmosphere...as well as playing a almost strictly trance/P. house format, with some variances... These are my suggestions, they may be of value and they may be not...however you aske dfor suggestions. Here's one, don't drink more then three cups of Minnie's coffee...can't sleep...

I will have to agree with forrest...
But the trance concept is good- stick with
it, but maybe we should offer the other
forms of techno other nights or certain holidays??? What do you think?? Eventually
if this works out- other dj's would come.
"if you build it, they will come" :)

I would like to see it. Kind of like a Planet-E with a more set format. It'd be cool to have someplace wher you know you could always go to hear trance or p.house on a given night. There are lots of places with like club house formats on a friday/saturday but nothing really with trance. Seeing someplace that offers trance would be pretty cool as long as there was good variety in the music. We don't want to have the same set of choons every week. I'm with Forrest, too. Some variety would be good. If there were two rooms (or more), one of them could be trance or house and the other one could change up every week or something. I know I would be up for attending, too. I would also be willing to spin and I know people who could prolly help out with visuals. Get in touch with me if you're serious.

Here's a little hint...if you plan on making it 18+ dont be strict about it..cos i want all my friends to enjoy the music i love and well they can't when they are only 17 =(. i would just love to see trance out of the tent and into a heated space!
YES YES YES!! pleeze. A hard trance night is something Seattle has needed for a long time.. Im sure you would get lots of support...

And if that Aussie bro reads this, drop me a line guy!
I'm moving to Hawaii at the end of the year and a year later, I'm off to Koala country! It'd be really cool to meet here and then later hook up on your turf!

I would love to help out in any way with a trance/progressive house night at a club. I read someone's post about making it all ages or something like that... I say definitely 21+. There are enough parties for all ages of groovers to attend. The club scene around here is really lacking when it comes to trance. I would hate to see the trance night on a Friday or Saturday night, have it become the "hot spot" for a couple months, and drive away the true fans of the music. I wouldn't want to see it overrun by typical club-going "let's get drunk and freaky" folks, although obviously that would net the largest profit. For example, the Last Supper is good some days during the week, especially now with their Thursday night events... but on Saturday nights... =/. As much as I would like to see a dedicated trance night, I am not sure if it would get as much support as it needed... trance seems to be more popular among the younger set.

hello...
this is nick with polluted productions, small yet aspiring prod. company. =)
if you want any help we would be willing, i think i talked to you once before, but the idea fizzled.
and chris, you want it to be 21+, but then you kinda say that would be a bad idea...what do you want?
i would say all ages, that would get the most support in a scene made up largely of kids under the age of 21. keep in mind a lot of the kids you see and think are older, aren't.

Okay, I know this is like way later than everyone else's posts, but I am totally interested in a Trance night. Trance is the best!!!! I'm an art major, so I could totally design flyers. Just give me an email if this thing ever goes down.

I would love to see a Trance night for obvious reasons... I'm 19, btw, so you know where my age requirements stand :P
18+ would be good...17+ isn't bad either, kind of like those R ratings that they give movies.
