UGH! I agree Goner, smelly BO and the other accompaning smells sounds like No Bueno to me. Especially since it was at SSL. That place is to small to do a big headliner. Really.

There was an opportunity for them to be booked at Baltic Room and they actually chose See Sound Lounge themselves because they liked the club. Wasnt really even the promoters choice. So there is the info you actually would need to know to make real criticisms. Jay was exaggerating a bit. It wasnt that bad. Not nearly as bad as the hippie functions you guys and I all attend. So...yeah...

The show was fun as fuck. Tons of heads, great music and lots of dancing. I had a BLAST tagging with Grym which turned out to be a 2x4 as well. Cant wait to do it again!

Glad to see the party went off! I got pulled over Xmas for not having my car in my name yet right down the street from my house so didn't want to chance getting nabbed again but just fixed it and am once again an irate legal driver lol! Would have loved to see an aksion grym 2x4!!

Yeah fun night! I really enjoyed the vibe, was awesome seeing lots of dancing, however, im gonna be a debbie downer here. I kinda felt like the DP routine was kind of spoonfed. Perhaps this is just me, but I especially love it when I get "thrown off" and the music goes somewhere totallyy different than where I thought it was headed. They had some awesome mixing skills and made some srsly overplayed tracks sound "new" again, I guess this sounds totally asinine because they really did switch up the genre base of the music a lot, I guess I just was in a weird mood and wanted something really "weird", Anyways, overall it was a great performance, and they do indeed have a good stage presence. seeing cute little DJs bobble around behind the decks always makes me grin!

Sofar as the BO. yeah it happens :( Its not fun, I miss coming home from shows smelling like smoke and other peoples BO, now I just come home smelling like other peoples BO. At one point a guy totally lit up a cig inside. I giggled. out of towner?
And yeah, the vomit smell @ contour was friggin overwhelming. I am getting over a cold currently so cant really smell too well, but I was going nuts inside that place, I found that it wasnt as bad in the corner of the dance floor so I re-stationed there for the duration. Yikes. vomit. ugh. BO > Vomit

I didn't go to DirtyPhonics but I did go to Contour on sunday and didn't notice an odor but that whole night was kinda wack. Maybe it was from the cookie I ate beforehand but it was just a really weird night there. The combination of a girl getting carried out by security (maybe she was the one who puked and made it stinky?), and multiple assholes and mean girls kicking and elbowing me when I was trying to dance just really sucked. Plus the drunk mc stopping the music repeatedly...boo!

If there weren't a few select sweet people there it would have been a complete loss. Meloves my dancing buddies who are there every sunday.

hehe, once the volume started to sky rocket @ this show I asked the chick @ the door if they sold ear plugs and she looked at me like I was bat shit crazy and talking in tongues.
LOL :) luckily a kind fellow gave me some earplugs that were in his car, I was seriously hurtin @ this show because the volume was just insane loud, it sounded pretty meh imho. Im fine with loud so long as it is balanced and full, this was really top heavy and ow.
so no- you are not alone downrigor!

oh yeah I have to add- I loved the bartenders cute little sweatbands and athletic-y outfits. they had seriously cute bunz! :o
