Roddimus, If you want to play at Oracle you have to give a tape to one of the oracle founders Jolen, Icarus, or Dijon.
Anyways, I can not wait for these parties. Oracle filters out all the stupid, uneducated, "ravers" who do not know the true meaning of this whole scene. Only the true groovers come out to this!!

Partially because of what wiwi was talking about. Kids who just want to go get fucked up somewhere don't go to the trouble to drive all the way out there. Either that or they let the navigator in the lead car of an eight-car caravan drop half a sheet of acid on the way up and never find the party until 7 in the morning*. If you really want to get your groove on outdoors, you find a way to get there (safely).
Second, if you see the locations they find for these parties you'll understand. They're always stunningly beautiful; usually up high on some hilltop with great views of tree-filled valleys, mountains, the distant lights of Portland, sometimes all of the above.
Damn, just writing about is making my pulse quicken and my toes tap. Can't wait for this party.
Peace.

This party sounds awesome! I have not yet been to an outdoor event, and i think its time for me to be educated! :) This one is so close to my hometown and the idea of dancing to music in the woods with fog just makes my brain tingle! Definately going to this one!!! :D
Have fun Kidz.

hell yeh! For your first outdoor party, Oracle is the one to go to! They have been doing this for 5 years and they have mapped out the most amazing spots in the forest!
Plus the evolution of the muic kicks ass. Breakbeats in the evening, trance and techno in the night and funky hous efor the sunshine morning. Cant wait!

Totally,
For the quality of their Oracle Full Moons I am surprised that they can keep their presales at $10. I think they do that so you can use the extra 5-10 bucks for gas money on the way out to the sight. Perfect strategy. Can not wait for this one.

Yep! Rumour has it that they have a Oracle Tour BUS!! That's right. They are bringing a double decker bus to Oracle. And they are setting the turntables on a deck on top of the bus. Its going to be insane!
I agree with Alicia. The sights these guys find are crazy. You literally feel like your in heaven when the sun rises.

ahhh  bout due for a portland party. After suffering through the "line" at dynamo girls, paying 2 bucks for water, then having to drive back from seattle half conscious. Also witnessing the green eyed monster at Spiritulize, my last portland party, Im anticipating this party to be off the hezzy.
Seattle was aight, don't get me wrong the people i met up there were hella cool. I saw the god mother of house(do i even have to say her name?) oh yea my first time seeing DJXL is it just me or is she not the cutest DJ in the Northwest?? Damn!!! but anyways i didn't get that certain vibe that u get at good ol pdx parties. Everyone up there was like, "I herd portland parites were dope"..u know i had to represent 503 so I was like, "You damn Right!!"
Convinced a few kidz to skip USC and come check out our 5yr!! I finally see what everyone is saying about the portland scene. So for all of you that have been to Oracle before, how is the sound?
2 bucks for fucken water???    u bastards!!!

Big ol' Texas-size werd to PDX TEX! If the Oracle crew is reading, please do inform us of the arrangements for toilets, trash cans (recycling for water bottles?) and impact management. I mean, school busses? What is being done to ensure the integrity of the forest?
Thanks!
reelgood
05-21-2001, 11:25 PM
See, I wait for parties of this nature before I commit to going out. There are so many new school wanna be promoters throwing over priced parties and they suck!
Since the Oracle crew has been around for so long you are guaranteed a fat show at a low cost because they know how to keep costs low and preserve a high quality event.
New schoolers do not know how to get hook ups (DJ's. Sound, flyers, etc) so they charge insane prices to pay back all their expensive costs. But the show is low budget and the raver gets screwed.
To sum it up, if you want to guarantee a good show, hit the shows that are produced by old school crews who know what they are doing. Just some advice.

Sweet! I remember the first Oracle Full Moon back in 97. That same summer I remember Oracle Full Moons united with Moontribe of LA who were/are the full moon masters down south. It was awesome. North and South.
I like the flow of the Oracle Full Moon evening too. They always start off with funky breaks and/or Drum and Bass then move it into progressive house at the peak of th night, and then hit up the funky house and lounge house at sunrise. Cant wait..

Chelsea: Yes, the party is all ages. We have an outdoor location approx. an hour from downtown portland. There is an unlimited compacity so if you do not grab a presale you can get one at the door of the event.
Kara: Hey cutie!! Can't wait to see you again. I feel like I have known you my whole life! ;)
I will have presales in platinum by friday July 1st everybody. Grab them while they last. If you do not get a presale do not worry. We will have unlimited tickets at the door.

Wassup peeps, man R me and my homies excited bout this one. It's going to be our first outdoor, and from what I hear this is the one to go to. We have only one problem, we're from eastern oregon, and we have no idea how to get around portland, let alone the forests outside of town. If anybody that has some knowledge of the city wants to get together and hunt for this venue together would be awsome. We're going to be at platinum that day, then head out into the great unknown. Sooo if there any others out there that R going to be lost like us, we should meet at platinum, hook up our pre-sale, and then with our powers combined try to find this place in the least amount of time. Can't wait to see everybody dancing under the stars.... peace :) :D ;)
Anybody know if [Di]Jon is back in town yet? Haven't seen that kid for a hell of a long time. Oh well, guess I'll just have to wait a week and a half. Ten days, WHOO-HOO!

Hey guys,
There is definitly camping, but its up to you to find the primo spot. We will have presales in platiunum tomorrow. We have a limited amount. Once those go out you can grab a ticket at the door of the show. We have an unlimited compacity.
For those coming from outside of portland, check out the website for directions from all sides of oregon. We will have detailed directions from Seattle and Eugene and bend.
Watch the moon! Its our countdown till the day!!

Cool, no presale for me, but I still think it would be cool to combine powers on finding this place, unless those directions are as detailed as they say they R. But I'm not too worried, It's gonna take a great act of nature to hold me and my buds back from this one. Every time I read another reply bout this thang I get more excited. First of all camping at a party under the full moon is phat city, and second of all Oracle sounds like they really know how to throw a party. Everything is so cheap, plus the bus, can't wait to see yall, we'll be the ones in the big tent roasting marshmellows, waiting for the sun to set. Peace & love to everybody ;)

BREAK THE HOUSE.. LONG LIVE BREAKZ
Camping!!! Yeah, camping caravan! I was thinking about heading up kind of early (like when the sun's still up) since setting up camp and hunting for firewood is much easiser when you can see ;). I'd love to get a group going. I have a pretty good record of not getting lost and if the location is anywhere near past Oracles, I sort of know the area. Anyway, as the date gets closer I guess we can figure out more specifics. Oh, this is a Oracle Production, not TrueKidz so the directions will be at their site (the day of the show):

ok, so im gonna raise a stink as usual and propose this question....i think everybody attending and throwing this event should listen up......bottom line is, after the first oracle, the site was left a complete disaster, water bottles were left EVERYWHERE..oracle productions used the same sight for the second party and to my relief, they site was left very clean....after all, this is a forest that this event is being thrown in and i really want to know what you guys are gonna do to make sure that the trash gets picked up.....i don't think its a good idea to rely on the masses to pickup everything that they bring..granted, the vast majority of folks do give a shit but their are some party goers that tend to turn the other cheek.....so, i propose these questions.....
1) how many garbage cans are you going to bring?
2) is oracle productions prepared to pick up the site and if so, how? who is going to do it?
3) how is the trash going to get off the mountain? its one thing that the stuff makes it into garbage bags but if it just stays in them and is left at the sight, then thats just as bad.....
i wanna get down in the woods just like everybody else but if you guys can't tell us how you are going to take care of the trash, then i am not going and i urge anybody else who is not satisfied with oracle productions garbage plan to do the same........lets get down but keep it clean!!!!!!!! so fella's whats yer plan?

Thanks Tex for having concern for the forest. We always incourage clean up crews in the morning. SO anyone who is down to help, great. We will have garbage cans on every corner of the site and have them taken back to town via uhaul trailer. See you all this weekend.

okee doke, thanks for the insight josh. i know alot of folks help clean up in the morning, this i can attest personally attest to. my main concern was where the trash went after the party...if its going out via u-haul then that sounds reassuring...thanks

I was just wondering if you guys would possibly honor old presales from last year? My friends and I spent 3 hours looking for oracle last summer (can't remember which one) and never found it, but we had already bought presales.
just wondering.

Hey Everyone!
Just letting you know that I will be doing concessions at this phat party. We've got your basic $1 water for starters, and then we follow up with various soda pops, Sunny D, juices, energy drinks and more!
Then we also have a variety of snack foods and candies to help ease those midnight cravings. :D
