WOO HOO! I've been waiting for this for almost a year now!
Does anyone know who I can contact about perhaps spinning at a future Oracle?
I'd love to lend my time for these guys. I got a TON of respect for them.
05-13-2001, 06:46 PM
The full moon's are near hope everyone one is getting all geared up for this one be on the look out for the new Oracle double decker bus!!! mmmm mmmm mmmm we will be serving up yummy blue berry pancakes for all the early morning groovers ! :D
see ya in the hills *
05-13-2001, 08:34 PM
I am going to be eating a blueberry pancake of of truski's bare ass. mmmmmmmmmm...
05-13-2001, 08:42 PM
Roddimus, If you want to play at Oracle you have to give a tape to one of the oracle founders Jolen, Icarus, or Dijon.
Anyways, I can not wait for these parties. Oracle filters out all the stupid, uneducated, "ravers" who do not know the true meaning of this whole scene. Only the true groovers come out to this!!

05-13-2001, 10:53 PM
this sounds like it has the potential for bombness, out in the woods dancing to some record playin devices, why it gotta be 50 minutes from pdx though, oh well, i might have to hit this up....bump? yeah, bump...

Partially because of what wiwi was talking about. Kids who just want to go get fucked up somewhere don't go to the trouble to drive all the way out there. Either that or they let the navigator in the lead car of an eight-car caravan drop half a sheet of acid on the way up and never find the party until 7 in the morning*. If you really want to get your groove on outdoors, you find a way to get there (safely).
Second, if you see the locations they find for these parties you'll understand. They're always stunningly beautiful; usually up high on some hilltop with great views of tree-filled valleys, mountains, the distant lights of Portland, sometimes all of the above.
Damn, just writing about is making my pulse quicken and my toes tap. Can't wait for this party.
*Yes, this actually happened.
05-14-2001, 09:50 PM
Heehee! i cant wait for phyllis to make her big appeareance! :) i love that bus. i will be there fosheesy.
05-15-2001, 02:34 PM
yee fricken hawww!!!!!!! im fully into this party.....heh, check the dude by the fire making corn...thats me!! ahhh summertime...but hey truekidz, not pointing fingers but how do you guys plan on dealing with any trash generated from the party....the first oracle last year was fun but the empty water bottle situation was out of control......all kids attending this event, PLEASE PACK OUT YOUR OWN TRASH and at very least, the promoters need to bring garbage cans!!!!!!!!!!1
05-15-2001, 04:58 PM
This party sounds awesome! I have not yet been to an outdoor event, and i think its time for me to be educated! :) This one is so close to my hometown and the idea of dancing to music in the woods with fog just makes my brain tingle! Definately going to this one!!! :D
Have fun Kidz.
05-15-2001, 05:16 PM
hell yeh! For your first outdoor party, Oracle is the one to go to! They have been doing this for 5 years and they have mapped out the most amazing spots in the forest!
Plus the evolution of the muic kicks ass. Breakbeats in the evening, trance and techno in the night and funky hous efor the sunshine morning. Cant wait!
05-15-2001, 05:31 PM
Hell yes...good party for a good price...
05-15-2001, 08:11 PM
For the quality of their Oracle Full Moons I am surprised that they can keep their presales at $10. I think they do that so you can use the extra 5-10 bucks for gas money on the way out to the sight. Perfect strategy. Can not wait for this one.
05-15-2001, 11:29 PM
Yep! Rumour has it that they have a Oracle Tour BUS!! That's right. They are bringing a double decker bus to Oracle. And they are setting the turntables on a deck on top of the bus. Its going to be insane!
I agree with Alicia. The sights these guys find are crazy. You literally feel like your in heaven when the sun rises.
05-16-2001, 10:27 AM
PDX TEX, The party isnt being thrown by Trukids.. Its oracle productions.. and they allways have clean up crews in the morning, but word, people should clean up they're own shit, respect the forest! I cant wait!
05-16-2001, 10:37 AM
I definitely want to go to this one...
My first party was an Oracle outdoor party and the setting was beautiful, the people were great, and the music was a perfect "soundtrack" to the natural lightshow. It was a night I will never forget...
05-16-2001, 10:51 AM
Alright, every single time I have gone out to the Oracle parties I have gotten lost, for at least an hour or so......hope this year can be different! There's nothing like dancin under the stars!
05-16-2001, 03:38 PM
this shit is gonna rock!!
josh throws a killer party w/ killer vibes!!
05-16-2001, 04:25 PM
oh yes. I have been waiting with a little preflier sitting by my computer for quite awhile here. :D Yes, yes I will be there.
05-17-2001, 06:05 PM
Oracle is the original outdoor party, except no substitute. WORD.
05-17-2001, 07:41 PM
Roddimus, If you want to play at Oracle you have to give a tape to one of the oracle founders Jolen, Icarus, or Dijon.
Anyone got these guys' emails?
05-18-2001, 02:19 AM
just please tell me that you guys are gonna have some garbage cans.....
05-18-2001, 08:58 AM
SWEEEEEET......................................... ........ :p
WTF!!! Oracle on page 3?!?!?!
*BUMP* dat shit.
05-20-2001, 08:14 PM
could you tell me what town this will be near? thanks.
05-21-2001, 10:18 AM
ahhh  bout due for a portland party. After suffering through the "line" at dynamo girls, paying 2 bucks for water, then having to drive back from seattle half conscious. Also witnessing the green eyed monster at Spiritulize, my last portland party, Im anticipating this party to be off the hezzy.
Seattle was aight, don't get me wrong the people i met up there were hella cool. I saw the god mother of house(do i even have to say her name?) oh yea my first time seeing DJXL is it just me or is she not the cutest DJ in the Northwest?? Damn!!! but anyways i didn't get that certain vibe that u get at good ol pdx parties. Everyone up there was like, "I herd portland parites were dope"..u know i had to represent 503 so I was like, "You damn Right!!"
Convinced a few kidz to skip USC and come check out our 5yr!! I finally see what everyone is saying about the portland scene. So for all of you that have been to Oracle before, how is the sound?
2 bucks for fucken water???    u bastards!!!
05-21-2001, 12:43 PM
Big ol' Texas-size werd to PDX TEX! If the Oracle crew is reading, please do inform us of the arrangements for toilets, trash cans (recycling for water bottles?) and impact management. I mean, school busses? What is being done to ensure the integrity of the forest?
05-21-2001, 11:25 PM
See, I wait for parties of this nature before I commit to going out. There are so many new school wanna be promoters throwing over priced parties and they suck!
Since the Oracle crew has been around for so long you are guaranteed a fat show at a low cost because they know how to keep costs low and preserve a high quality event.
New schoolers do not know how to get hook ups (DJ's. Sound, flyers, etc) so they charge insane prices to pay back all their expensive costs. But the show is low budget and the raver gets screwed.
To sum it up, if you want to guarantee a good show, hit the shows that are produced by old school crews who know what they are doing. Just some advice.
05-22-2001, 06:54 AM
Anyone know how long of a drive from Seattle this might be??? :)
05-22-2001, 09:59 AM
PDX TEK and everyone concerned on the garbage we will have many trash cans on site we are very big on keeping the forests clean and leaving it just the we found them we hope everyone can respect and do the same as if it was your own home ! please pack out what you pack in & bring your camping essetials along with extra (trash bags)..
NEON303 if your eating blueberrys out of my ass you better expect to lick it clean boy !!! :p :p save some for chucky too !
05-22-2001, 07:17 PM
That's right truski. We are going to have numerous trash cans on all sections of the sight and we expect everyone to respect the land and help us keep it clean.
Speaking of sights. We are having the official Oracle exploration for outdoor locations next weekend. We will keep you all informed of our discoveries when we return!!
05-24-2001, 08:44 PM
Mad Max, The drive from seattle is probably about 3 hours. From downtown portland it is 55 minutes. Thats what it says on the Oracle Info line. Can't wait for this one.
05-24-2001, 08:54 PM
Thanks for the info Lowtide
Since the drive to Prosperity took longer than this, and it was totally worth it, I may justify this drive because the party sounds like it'll be really good
05-24-2001, 11:45 PM
Does anyone have the email of Jolen, Icarus, Dijon or anyone else involved with Oracle?
I'd really like to spin at one of the upcoming gatherings.
I play dnb (everything from dark to funky to atmospheric) and I'd love to become more involved with this.
Any response would be appreciated.
05-25-2001, 01:20 AM
We will be promoting Oracle at Energy, Odyssey, and Equinox his weekend. You can catch us there and throw us a tape.

05-25-2001, 06:21 PM
Sweet! I remember the first Oracle Full Moon back in 97. That same summer I remember Oracle Full Moons united with Moontribe of LA who were/are the full moon masters down south. It was awesome. North and South.
I like the flow of the Oracle Full Moon evening too. They always start off with funky breaks and/or Drum and Bass then move it into progressive house at the peak of th night, and then hit up the funky house and lounge house at sunrise. Cant wait..
05-27-2001, 08:05 PM
Yeh! Good point. This party is going to be the very first outdoor party of the summer!
This summer is supposed to be on eof the hotest summers since 1930 or sum shit. That means the Oracles will be off the hook and the skies will just be filled with stars!!! No rain thank god!!
05-28-2001, 10:02 AM
Ive been dancing for almost 2 years now, and I havent hit up an outdoor yet. The time is near. Dancing in a moon beam sounds wonderful.

05-28-2001, 04:02 PM
I really want to go, to bad I don't drive, will there be any public transportation for us hippys? Also, is this a camping thingy? Are there pre-sale tickets left? Hopefully I'll be able to con someone into giveing me +1 a ride.
ARG, no car=difficulty for Nichole egtting to the party.
05-28-2001, 04:39 PM
Chelsea: Yes, the party is all ages. We have an outdoor location approx. an hour from downtown portland. There is an unlimited compacity so if you do not grab a presale you can get one at the door of the event.
Kara: Hey cutie!! Can't wait to see you again. I feel like I have known you my whole life! ;)
I will have presales in platinum by friday July 1st everybody. Grab them while they last. If you do not get a presale do not worry. We will have unlimited tickets at the door.
05-28-2001, 11:25 PM
:p bump :p
05-29-2001, 12:07 AM
this party is gonna be AWESOME!! now, is this gonna be like a sanctioned camping area? so like people like me can camp the whole weekend if they choose? either way I will be there dancing my ass off and relaxing under the stars!!
05-29-2001, 10:28 AM
Wassup peeps, man R me and my homies excited bout this one. It's going to be our first outdoor, and from what I hear this is the one to go to. We have only one problem, we're from eastern oregon, and we have no idea how to get around portland, let alone the forests outside of town. If anybody that has some knowledge of the city wants to get together and hunt for this venue together would be awsome. We're going to be at platinum that day, then head out into the great unknown. Sooo if there any others out there that R going to be lost like us, we should meet at platinum, hook up our pre-sale, and then with our powers combined try to find this place in the least amount of time. Can't wait to see everybody dancing under the stars.... peace :) :D ;)
Anybody know if [Di]Jon is back in town yet? Haven't seen that kid for a hell of a long time. Oh well, guess I'll just have to wait a week and a half. Ten days, WHOO-HOO!
05-29-2001, 05:12 PM
Oracle is a beautiful thing, sharing the full moon, great music, and nature with dancers.
05-29-2001, 06:46 PM
WORD UP! REPRESENT DA FOREST SCENE Y'ALL!!!
long live breakz
Once again the full moon gatherings mark the start of a beautiful summmer of groove and love. I can't wait to see everyone there enjoying natures gifts. I hope to meet and greet everyone. So please be on the look out for a "groovin african house princess"
Peace and love to all!!!!!
05-29-2001, 08:27 PM
Deftoner: Presales will probably sell out before the day of the show. I would not count on it. The voicemail says that there is a unlimited compacity at the venue and you can get tickets at the door if you can not grab a presale.
05-29-2001, 09:04 PM
There is definitly camping, but its up to you to find the primo spot. We will have presales in platiunum tomorrow. We have a limited amount. Once those go out you can grab a ticket at the door of the show. We have an unlimited compacity.
For those coming from outside of portland, check out the website for directions from all sides of oregon. We will have detailed directions from Seattle and Eugene and bend.
Watch the moon! Its our countdown till the day!!
05-30-2001, 08:34 AM
Cool, no presale for me, but I still think it would be cool to combine powers on finding this place, unless those directions are as detailed as they say they R. But I'm not too worried, It's gonna take a great act of nature to hold me and my buds back from this one. Every time I read another reply bout this thang I get more excited. First of all camping at a party under the full moon is phat city, and second of all Oracle sounds like they really know how to throw a party. Everything is so cheap, plus the bus, can't wait to see yall, we'll be the ones in the big tent roasting marshmellows, waiting for the sun to set. Peace & love to everybody ;)
05-30-2001, 09:19 AM
I am comitting to this one Right Now!
I'll be the redhead with the red n white medieval tent (yes! I will bring it this time!), and Imma try to bring as much of my tribe as I can :D
Love to see you there,

Anyone who wants to go camping, a bunch of us are trying to get together and drive over there and camp next to each other. So if your interested, drop me a line, my e-mail is SydLovesJungle@aol.com
p.s.the Trukidz website isnt working, and I need some directions from Portland!
05-30-2001, 06:00 PM
Directions will be on the voice mail the night of the event.. and on here most likely..
BREAK THE HOUSE.. LONG LIVE BREAKZ
Camping!!! Yeah, camping caravan! I was thinking about heading up kind of early (like when the sun's still up) since setting up camp and hunting for firewood is much easiser when you can see ;). I'd love to get a group going. I have a pretty good record of not getting lost and if the location is anywhere near past Oracles, I sort of know the area. Anyway, as the date gets closer I guess we can figure out more specifics. Oh, this is a Oracle Production, not TrueKidz so the directions will be at their site (the day of the show):
05-30-2001, 06:59 PM
total camping caravan.... you can count me and my buddies in on that, especially if some of you know where the heck you are going. we're from eastern oregon, and we don't know the portland area at all....give us a place to meet and we'll try our best to be there. peace :D
05-30-2001, 10:43 PM
Yeah! Presale tickets are at platinum. But they are already selling fast!!!
yeah yeah yeah
05-30-2001, 10:53 PM
I am pleased to a announce that tickets are at platinum. Once those sell out we will have tickets at the door of the show for $15.
See you in the forest
05-30-2001, 11:50 PM

Much love & Respect,
06-03-2001, 07:35 PM
Feels that it would be a shame to miss this.
06-03-2001, 10:30 PM
I will not miss this for the world. COnsidering they only do 2-3 oracles a year.
5 more days!!
06-04-2001, 01:50 AM
ok, so im gonna raise a stink as usual and propose this question....i think everybody attending and throwing this event should listen up......bottom line is, after the first oracle, the site was left a complete disaster, water bottles were left EVERYWHERE..oracle productions used the same sight for the second party and to my relief, they site was left very clean....after all, this is a forest that this event is being thrown in and i really want to know what you guys are gonna do to make sure that the trash gets picked up.....i don't think its a good idea to rely on the masses to pickup everything that they bring..granted, the vast majority of folks do give a shit but their are some party goers that tend to turn the other cheek.....so, i propose these questions.....
1) how many garbage cans are you going to bring?
2) is oracle productions prepared to pick up the site and if so, how? who is going to do it?
3) how is the trash going to get off the mountain? its one thing that the stuff makes it into garbage bags but if it just stays in them and is left at the sight, then thats just as bad.....
i wanna get down in the woods just like everybody else but if you guys can't tell us how you are going to take care of the trash, then i am not going and i urge anybody else who is not satisfied with oracle productions garbage plan to do the same........lets get down but keep it clean!!!!!!!! so fella's whats yer plan?
[ 06-04-2001: Message edited by: PDX TEX ]
06-04-2001, 09:56 AM
I *always* bring trash bags, and pack out whatever I pack in. And, I make sure my group does the same. AND, I always plan on taking care of a few extra peoples forgetfulness. :D
I know not everyones like me, but some are. The way things are looking, I'll prolly be able to stay n help the next day anyway. :)
Oh, and check the carpool area for the latest on carpool/caravan ideas and plans. There's not much there now, but I'm sure there will be soon.
4 days, wooooooo-hoooooooo!
06-04-2001, 08:49 PM
I got me a ride!
06-04-2001, 09:14 PM
Thanks Tex for having concern for the forest. We always incourage clean up crews in the morning. SO anyone who is down to help, great. We will have garbage cans on every corner of the site and have them taken back to town via uhaul trailer. See you all this weekend.
06-04-2001, 09:51 PM
My first outdoor, and right after my birthday too *sigh*
the hills are aliiiiive, with the sounds of music....

06-05-2001, 08:11 AM
okee doke, thanks for the insight josh. i know alot of folks help clean up in the morning, this i can attest personally attest to. my main concern was where the trash went after the party...if its going out via u-haul then that sounds reassuring...thanks
06-05-2001, 10:37 AM
dude! this needs to be bumped
06-05-2001, 12:11 PM

Looking forward to a night in the great Oregon outdoors.....bump! ;)
06-05-2001, 05:39 PM
I was just wondering if you guys would possibly honor old presales from last year? My friends and I spent 3 hours looking for oracle last summer (can't remember which one) and never found it, but we had already bought presales.
06-05-2001, 06:13 PM
the word on the street is that i'm gonna be there with my mad tent skillz...

Just letting you know that I will be doing concessions at this phat party. We've got your basic $1 water for starters, and then we follow up with various soda pops, Sunny D, juices, energy drinks and more!
Then we also have a variety of snack foods and candies to help ease those midnight cravings. :D

Plus I'll have gloves and trashbags on hand for cleanup in the morning. Any and all help appreciated. Let's work together as a family to show that we're responsible with Mutha Nate Cha!
See you on the mountain!
