Not to many producers today can say they have had the opportunity to do work on Subliminal Records or Southern Fried. The infamous House Moguls can say that and then some. Their remixes of Mighty Dub Katz classic “Magic Carpet Ride” for Southern Fried Records & Jose Nunez Feat. Shawnee Taylor “Yesterday” on Subliminal were both released this week.
Norman Cooks stellar label reached out to The House Moguls to remix Mighty Dub Katz (Fatboy Slim alias) “Magic Carpet Ride” and did the guys love the opportunity. The House Moguls have been DJs since the 90s and grew up with the original. So staying true, to the original they came funky and bumpy, so all you fans of Alex Kenji / Hotfingers this one is right up your alley.
Next up was Subliminal’s head-honcho Erick Morillo reached out to The House Moguls to remix Jose Nunez Feat. Shawnee Taylor “Yesterday.” Loving the opportunity, since they have been fans of Subliminal, Erick Morillo, Jose Nunez & Shawnee Taylor since the late 90s. Coming hard on this remix, with The House Moguls staple sound, big dark drums, fat synth lines and huge diva vocals! This record is in a class all itself.
Both are out now on Beatport! So head over to The House Moguls Beatport page and buy them! http://www.beatport.com/artists/the+house+moguls

YEAH!!!! I just love these guys. They are on some of my favorite CD's.

Dance Floor volume 5
Candy Disco volume 3
We Play House volume 5
We Call It House volume 3 AND 6
Ibiza Part Hits volume 4
Clubbers Choice Volume 2,6, and 12
Songs U Might Hear in Miami Volume 2 and 4

Now I know that I don't even have to go to the CD store and walk all the way to the back corner of the store to find them. I can just download it on line and make my own super duper mega mega dance hit compilation. I am so super silly excited!!! Thanks guys..

My favorite of these is the on with the sweet vocal in it. I absolutely love it and cant stop singing it over and over and over..

"Yesterday I saw you but there were too many people around, I didn't know what to say."
"Yesterday I saw you but there were too many people around, I didn't know what to say."
"Yesterday is forgotten and tomorrows nowhere to be found."

I am like!!!! YES!!!! Those are some awesome lyrics!!!!
Did you guys write those lyrics or did someone else right them and just share them with all their friends,,,, Either way,, they are totally sweet and I will be singing it all day.

"Yesterdayyyyyyyyyyy...."

I also like the song with the piano riff in it that goes... dun dun dun dun di di dun dun. dun dun dun di di dun dun....

Either way.. thanks for the links to the tunes. I already went to that Beatport place and set up an account so that I could buy them. Please let me know when you have more satuff out.

P.S. I heard you guys went to Full Sail. That is supposed to be a really good school for music production. Does it cost alot and what does it take to get accepted there??

Thanks Boys Big Kisses
Love You

I can't believe there is a new mix of this song.
I have the original on a cd called Southern Fried House. I've had that CD for AGES!
Also, wrong forum.
