There's not a second of dub in that clip. King Tubby does not approve.

Hehe. Nice pic of the King.
I believe what this confused young lad is trying to show us is more commonly referred to as dubSTEP. Not to be confused with Dub.

Ok, this is an experimental kinda video.... think of it like a riff(s)
heh heh
Actually this is a restricted five second/five different clips.
Not meant to hear all the trax.
Get it?
Dub or Dubstep same shit to me and I just don't want to write it all out... so it's DUB :)
The samples from those DJ's who plays DUB/DUbstep.
If ya wanna hear something really 'experimental' (video and music) check this out:
It's "abstract" art without a canvas kinda thing.

Am sure progressive minds understand the video as such :)

Well, don't be mad at us when no one understands what the fuck you're talking about then. In other words,

and then there are those who do produce shit... and call it dub when it is dubstep...
just b/c someone hasn't produced anything doesn't mean they can't tell the difference between styles.

Electrohouse stole "electro" from an already established (and arguably better) genre. I guess dubstep can go ahead and try to steal "Dub", but they are certainly way different in both cases. I don't hate dubstep or Electrohouse, but I love me some real dub and electro, so I will never be able to support the trend of lazying off the "step" nor the "house".

I believe everyone posted on your thread has produced, except for one, and now me. So your point is...?
Edited to add:
I use the term loosely with spazz.

fwiw (probably nothing) - but i fucking hate when people call electro house "electro". i was about 5 when my brother brought home "planet rock." ah, the beautiful memories of breaking to electro in my parents' garage on a piece of linoleum... no genre is going to tarnish my childhood memories by stealing electro and giving it to some garbage that sounds like the worst of breaks and house had a retarded baby.

Produced several tracks. Many of them in Xbox live games. But that's something for the BSP section of the forums. ;)
Seriously though. It is a very big distinction. Not trying to be a dick, but kids today don't know the value of their own native language. They can't be troubled to learn English, let alone ANOTHER language. It is these simple things...Dub or Dubstep....Techno or Trance....Break beats or Drum and Bass....these distinctions will tell people not only what to expect, but also how much (or little) you know.
For instance:
I am a Chef at whole foods to help pay for college. It's a part time gig, and it gives me enough walkin around money to help pay bills. Needless to say, having a laissez faire attitude towards details like "Did he say he WAS or he WASN'T allergic to shellfish" are kind of important.
God is in the details kid. Learn the difference, and communicate effectively, or don't respect them and be thought of as a dipshit. Your choice.
