i find it surprising since it seems like you (us) bastards really love your (our) alcohol, and the PNW is fertile wine country. i personally don't know shit about wine, but i like drinking it, and i like learning new stuff.



so like, i'll start off the wine discussion! is there any real difference between a syrah and a shiraz?

It just depends on wear the grape is grown....That is the only real difference if I am not mistaking. Like in Aussie land they call is Shiraz, but in Washington its called Syrah. By the way I am glad to say that Oregon has the best Pinot Noir in the world! :) I have had the second best.

I have been making my own wine for the last 2 years, with (overally) pretty good results. The latest batch was AMAZING, and I'll be sad to see it go. Running out. Guess it's time to make more!
