I'm getting to know the guy and I really like him a ton. He's hella interesting, creative, passionate, motivated person. I'm sure he's made some big time mistakes. I have. You have. We are human.

If he ever does anything in the future that makes me upset then I'll deal with that then like I would with anyone else I get to know. from what i've surmised, i think that's part of the reason so many people feel burned. he's been given a lot of opportunities to express himself, make friends, and prove himself capable or trustworthy, and instead burned many bridges. he's not done anything wrong to me -- which i've pointed out again and again in my posts -- but that doesn't mean i haven't noticed the disrespectful and ungrateful way he treats others who have tried to help him. it took a few years to notice because i thought he was a good kid too.

look, i'm not trying to turn you or anyone against the guy. of course the kid needs friends. i'm outlining my own reasons for not wanting to defend him any more, just as you have outlined why you wish to be friends with him.

People are hella quick to lay down all his faults, pick apart detail by detail everything they don't like about him, string up details (gossip of troubled teen behavior) about his personal life on here...which hey you don't have to like a person by why go through all this trouble to let these things continued to be known for years and years after they happened?

he's gone off about a lot more of his exploits and personal life than i think you realize. i agree with you that it's pretty weird to bring up all this minor shit that happened years ago but still pisses you off. but as far as the personal details of his life, more often than not HE is the one choosing to either share it or brag about it here. when people mention certain affairs he's had, go off on his gang stalking thing, judge him for being shitty to some of his girlfriends, or comment on his mother or upbringing, it's almost always a direct reference to something he himself posted here.

it would be one thing if he just wanted to be left alone and all these people were up in his business all the time. that's doesn't seem to be the case. he posts all this stuff looking for attention, he gets it, it goes overboard, and then he complains that people are on his shit unfairly. it's self-victimization, which people don't respond well to. i realize that i posted something that he did one time right in this thread that looked like i was trying to do the exact same thing and start up the petty things-in-the-past-brigade. honestly though it was more of an offhand sardonic retort mimicking the post directly above it than any well thought-out, embittered rumor spreading. more like temporarily not considering that comments here are not made in a bubble.

i appreciate your sentiment...but dude, there are like 4 active mods, 5 on a good day, for something like 40,000 users. this place is as close to a free-for-all as it gets. i encourage you to post like a complete troll on any other board, local or otherwise, not 4chan, and tell me how that works out for you.

i post on about 6 or 7 different boards, and this place is seriously fighting for #1 spot as far as crazy ass drama and saying whatever the hell you want goes.

although admittedly i thought the thing that finally got spaz banned would be a lot more consequential than "banana". i expected him to go out in a fiery blaze of gangstalking spam glory and severe abuse a la elroy and his gay issue. this was pretty anticlimactic :/

im on other boards as well where if you tried 3/4 of the shit that goes on in this forum, you'd be perma-banned and not tolerated.

i even joined a forum about a year ago
read and (to make sure i) followed their rules
started a thread seeking some help on a work issue i was having
sure i was a little snarky, but i didnt LOLCat it or be a dickhole to the users...i seriously just asked for help and made a few snarky comments to retarded fucking responses to my thread (it was all adults and i was surprised at some of their suggestions).

my little "blehs" inside my main comments got me banned in less than a day, my question, never answered

really, this place is pretty free playground.....and the best part is
most of the users on this forum dont even donate to the board but use it

dont talk about it, BE about it
you want the freedom? then support it (and abide by the few rules there are)
makes it a nicer place for everyone

i think skyler took his banning better than anyone here.
in person, maybe. but i've never seen someone straight highjack another member's account to whine about being banned.
