Howdy, all. I'm plannig on doing a trance party in Eugene/Portland, and need some advice on sound crews, lighting, spaces. I'm originally from the SF bay, and have helpped with many parties there. I just finished my b-day rave on Sept. 11th with Earcandy. But, alas, I am in Eugene going to u of o, doing my second year.
So, I am flying in Mars, Mystre, and Dutch from the bay, but not until the spring. Probably the first week of march. I was thinking about getting m/m booked with magical thursdays, and having my event on that saturday. But, I figure that I'd have to get the event into portland if I wanted a good crowd showing. I was aiming for 1000-1500 event.
I am from SF, I don't know if the portland scene is a sure bet for sf trance to pull a big crowd. I would like to know what else draws the crowd. Any NW house/trance DJs with a good following/big name that could be suggested?
thank you people. I would love to talk about parties with you all sometime. I will be at the Eugene Oct. 2 event, Care-A-lot.
