Not to give away too much, but just to say that this is NOT going to be at the same place as Whirl, at this point in time, at least, is still being used by the film company that is making that movie here in PDX.

About this party, all I can say is that I am looking forward to a drama free, fun filled, fully safe, night of entertainment seeing Christian Smith (For my first time!) I think that this is party/venue/decor is going to kick some major Big Bam Bootay!

Ben, the reason we throw parties on Friday
is because thats the night most dj's we work with are available to play smaller cities
like Portland. More times than not they are
playing Saturday's in Seattle, LA, New York,
San Francisco, London, Ibiza, Chicago, Detriot ect ect. Of course I would rather have events on Saturday's because more kids
can go out that night to be entertained. Thats really what we do is produce entertainment events for fans of dance music. The USA is full of those kids and they
are people with likes and dislikes just like you. They choose the entertainment they like
and expend their resources getting some enjoyment out of life like most of us. Some of the Portland party kids drive by the hundreds to Seattle for massive events designed for 15,000 kids being entertained by the dj's they like. I bring some of those same dj's to the city they live in and provide the best in sound, lights, venues,
staff and other amenities for their enjoyment. That is why our events are successfull because we provide and entertaining evening for kids who want that.
Do you really think if BBB didn't do this that no one else would? That's crazy! Portland has a wide and varied dance music
community with something for everyone including you and your friends. Enjoy your night out at the event of your choice and allow other kids the same consideration.
It's too bad I will be so busy I won't have time to dance and will only get to hear a few hours of my favorite NW dj's during the
20 hour shift I will be working but thats what promoters and their staff do! I will get my enjoyment from doing this because a
couple thousand kids will be having fun with
dance music!

i think all of this hostility is really funny, i dont follow the portland scene very much, but i do see a trend of disasterous shows that keep on losing money. Even though keeping the shit underground is great, the problem with that is that people are losing their asses on investing and putting together these great shows. We had a great space. It was the old Hanna car wash space on 99 next to the old South Gate Theatre.

Kelly had the Chief of Police, the fire marshall, and most of the city council on board. The beareau of zoning and building shut us down.

Kelly and BigBamBass Productions was served with an injuction today at 12:30pm. Injunction was issued by Clackamas County On behalf of the City Planners office.

I prolly have some shit wrong, but right now I am loading the jungle room turntables into the van to take down to the space.... So I don't have time to go into details...
