Personally, I am a HUGE Brat-pack fan, and I love almost all 80's movies...The Breakfast Club is right up there at the top, along with just about every movie with Molly Ringwald...Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles, etc...I think my obsession with her has something to do with the fact that we have the same birthday...which, but the way, is this Sunday! (Sorry, I couldn't resist throwing that in!)

Well, thanx, luv!! I'm going to be 18 ~ woohoo!! AND it's my Golden Birthday!! So, many things to celebrate ~ good thing it's a 3~day weekend...BTW do you all know what a Golden Birthday is?...I thought everyone did, but the more people I mention it to, they haven't the slightest idea what I'm talking about...oh, another BTW, I'm going to Twisted to celebrate ~ I'm unofficially turning it into my birthday party...everyone should go!

no i don't know what a golden birthday is....i would like to know though. please enlighten me.

kara_star
02-13-2001, 08:55 PM
your Golden Birthday is when you turn the age of the date of your birth ~ say you were born on june 12...your golden birthday was your 12th...BUT your silver birthday is flipping the numbers around ~ your birthday:june 12...your silver birthday:june 21....follow me? It's just sort of a reason to make a bigger deal out of your birthday then other years...basically an excuss for a bigger party!!

Ok, I'm an eighties child! So werdup!
ET, Carebears the Movie, The Muppet Capers, The Breakfast Club, and some John Cusak movie which I can't recall the name to it. But I'll describe the movie, and maybe some of you fine people know the name to it. John Cusak stands outside his girlfriends window with a ghetto blaster, and their song blasting. And inside the chick is crying.

URGH!

Fast Times at Ridgemont High is not only my favorite 80's movie, but my favorite movie of all time, as well. It is a classic because it is about real high school kids going about their lives and all of the tragedies and comedies in those lives happening under the noses of adults.
