I'm getting so sick and tired of people who are just kids who go to parties who drop names and claim they are with every crew under the sun and bullshit that they are throwing every party thats out there. What they don't even realize is that anyone who knows their ass with both hands knows that they are full of shit. I haven't had the rare pleasure of dealing with fools like this until recently, when I am throwing a party with my partner Nick and our crew and about three other people claim they are throwing this party. I laught to myself because I know who has done all the work, come up with the lineup, booked the DJs, ran the errands, distributed the flyers, and kept things going with our investor. Its a laugh to see someone else try and take credit for our work, but I guess thats what losers with no life like to do. :rolleyes:

It's not that big of a deal at all, people just assign some level of coolness to it and its the people who dont do it that make that stigma and create the undesirable image for people who are simply helping investors with their money and doing all the detail oriented work. Who needs to say who the fuck they are, as long as they are having a good time, you could be Tom, Dick or Harry as far as I'm concerned, so why go out of your way to lie and say you are something that ignorant people assign a great deal of value to. they won't be around for long, and if they are - they will eventually see what we've been seeing for years and years. a lot of these little fuckers will be grounded by their parents real soon, and the promoters will find new "flyer bitches," because you know that's what these twinks really are.

Here's my theory why kids want to be associated with or be promoters:

In the stratification system in mainstream raves today, being a promoter is associated with higher status. People strive for this status and may want to reach to the top, and they figure the label "promoter" will get them, or help get them there.

This is not necessarily a bad thing in and of itself, but a lot of people wanting to become or becoming a promoter can be selfish and are insensitive to what other people want.
