No! It's the super spiffy Leonid Meteor Shower! In the late-night of November 17 (-early morning November 18), the Tempel-Tuttle comet (aka: huge ball of ice and rock) will grace the presence of our sky leaving the most spectacular trail of shooting stars since 1966!

Cool stuff! Perfect time to break out your extra-insulated sleeping bag.

I used to be able to see this clearly from the roof of my house in Ashland. The most amazing show was the 1997 comet. I have forgotten its name, but it was amazing. It's tail stretched across the entire sky.
I'm all over astronomical phenomena. Let's get out into the cold and watch us some shooting stars.

Kewl. Shooting stars kick bunghole.
I'm new to the area, so I'm wondering if y'all get auroral displays up here? I saw one down in NZ recently, and it was mindblowing. Who needs acid?
