first off im posting on my roomates name, but yeah i heard that yesterday morning and was pretty sad, i told my girlfriend and i saw a tear roll down her face, she actually got to shake his hand just a couple of months ago at the evergreen state graduation and hear him speak, wow i wish i would have been able to hear him speak. he was definatly a important 20th century amercian author who had a heart of gold. sorry for rambling. WE WILL MISS YOU KEN.

Ken Kesey was quite a man.
I feel like I should say something more meaningful, but right now its still kind of a shock.
he will be missed

Oh yeah, last year in ceramics I made a replica of his head out of clay and had the side of it melting into day-glo colors, its pretty sweet

much respect to him...
I will not miss him, because I know he's in a better place - but I wish him the best, and thank him for all he's done to salvage the souls of those who wished to be enlightened...
alot of people know him from "One Flew Over The CooCoo's Nest", but his real contribution came from the Merry Pranksters - without Ken, there would of been no revolution. Thank you.

Hey I just wante to put my two sense in that this guy was totally a inspiration to many people and he happened to live just outside of EUGENE, OR. I met him along time ago at a Country Fair, I didnt know who he was untill my Mom explained to me and she had me read the "Electric Kool-Aide Test" I suggest it to anyone interested in him or LSD in general. Its a sad loss but its amazing how many people lives he changed and how well he was known, I know he wrote many other books and I plan on reading them some day. WERD to Ken Keesey.....
PEACE and LOVE

Sorrry to hear about Kesey, he was truely a great writter, after reading "sometimes a great notion" a few years ago, he opened my eyes and made me look at the world and my surroundings in a new light. He will be missed.
Peace and Love, Evan

Yeah i LOVED that book. Ken is my English teachers hero and once they went to a convention where Kesey was at and waited and waited til they could find him but all they could find was a guy that looked like him. Anyways they thought it was him and when they found out it wasnt, they got a picture anyways and blew it up and now he has a big picture of him and "The Fake Ken Kesey" as he calls it. Even the fake one makes him happy. So thats about as close as anyone i know has ever came to meeting him.

Kesey was guest speaker at Evergreen's 2001 graduation ceremony. Rumor has it that a founding faculty member was a Merry Prankster and traveled with Kesey.

Ken Kesey was my English teacher's hero too, back when I was in high school. There was a good article all about him in the U of O newspaper today that I read and there's supposed to be a memorial service for him here in Eugene sometime this week. Much respect to him and all his family, friends, and fans.
