thanks to everyone who contributed to the thread about things to do and places to see in vancouver. got back from the trip last night and i had a blast.
whoever told me about the sugar refinery is the shit cause that place was pretty badass. interesting free style jazz and really neat atmosphere.
and whoever told me about the lotus is a badass x 2. the lotus rules. met some girls at the sonar the night before we went there who knew the people workin there and managed to get in for free too! :D aww yeah.
saw and did other various cool things. all in all a great trip. thanks everyone for the tips and advice.
and here's the only piece of advice i really have for anyone else thinking of going..
just.. stay away from east hastings. really. its not a nice place.

word about e hastings
out near the exhibition park is a nice area, not too ghetto to wander around in.
went to a kickass portugese bakery there (very cheap fresh donuts i munched on after smoking a joint as i walked down the street...YUM!)
as well as a yummy vietnamese restaurant i chowed at, which had reasonable prices given the quality of the food.
then there's this house you can go to for some really good sex
or wait! you didn't hear that from me!! seymour has good hookers too.
canada is so much fun.

glad you had fun foofy
Vancouver is a blast....
dont know how many times I have been talked into making the trip to the northern border...
always ended up having a blast and seeing some great djs in the process (Mark Grant, Mark Farina, Stacey Pullen, etc)
I will give props to the Lotus, kinda small, but Lee-ann can throw down some awesome funky house.
My fave club would have to be the Sonar tho, great atmosphere and pulls in the big namest, along with enjoyable local talent.
I am also wanting to check out Shine, a friend of mine has been a few times, likes it.... anyone else share insight on this club....
oh yeah, anyone notice how many damn pizza by the slice there are in Vancouver....haha
yes..the memories.....looking forward to making the venture up north once again
