I went to this party in San Fransisco this Saturday, i know most of you are NW based(as i used to be) but i really wanted to share me experience at this party with thise of you who might appreciate it...
Super Duper was a party thrown by Skills, a dj workshop/record store in berkely, for those of you familiar with F8, they are closely linked, (dyloot&Tom Slik own it)
I have never been to a massive fisrt off, i was always into smaller, more intimate parties, but i have heard so many things about skills and was very curious about a massive frisco party having to do with alienz...
so i spent the 43 bucks and went.
it was soooo worth every penny!~ i got there and immediatley the vibe was sooo good. i met lotsa peeple, chilled with every different type of raver you could fiind, danced to some kik ass music, and, then spent some time on the 2nd story looking down on the whole thing.
they had the stage set up like a spaceship, the dj's came out of it to spin...and i believe mars and mystery and dyloot and tom slik wwere dressed like aliens and space invaders,,,,the music and lasers went togerther, and there was this big space fight, (djs battling) and then there were subliminal messages within the music, and words flashing on the cieling, things like, be kind, love, respect, play, be humble, cuddle....people were hugging and dancing and totally interacting eith eachother...we were cheering the aliens on! i felt so at one with everything there. the most poeple i have ever seen come togetherand be so respectful and loving. i was also very much touched by the message that i got from this party. one that made me feel like i was with the right people, at tthe right moment. its hard to put into words, but i am changed. GO SKILLS!!!! <3 check out pix...ravelinks.com....sf raves...super duper :D

ps...love you all! <33333333

Right on!!
That sounds like it was really fun, it brings back alot of memories for me.
I grew up with Mike and Eric and Bruce in San Francisco, in the early days of F-8.
Bruce (Dyloot) used to work the counter all the time, and I remember when he first made a demo tape, in fact I still have it.

But I remember so many fun parties just like you described, the skills parties at 2nd and Jackson were always off the hook, and Thomas Trouble and his man on the moon series parties in San Francisco!!

I see your in Sac, do you know Steven Brown, or any of the sticky Vinyl Crew? They through parties down their all the time, and in fact I'm booked to play down there the first week in June.

All those guys that made the party you went to, are the same fellows that made me a raver many moons ago, So I know exactly what your talking about when you say VIBE!!

Peace!!
Scott!!

My bad.....but Jason (Dyloot) used to work for Mike at F-8 also........
but yea, those guys are cool!!

dyloot and mystery came out with a new track on dancing spirit~open your heart...

Yea I haven't heard that yet.........I always enjoyed their Cyber-trance, and I would never talk bad about it, but for me personally, I had to step up the pace abit, I played trance back in the day with those guys, but the last three years I've been in Seattle, I've been playing HardHouse, (guess it's colder up here, and got to move abit faster to keep warm)

But yea, I'll send you the info when I have it all for sure.......
