Bullshit. They searched Google or the like and this post came up. They didn't pay attention.

FAIL.

Maybe somebody who isn't the original poster has that exact Toshiba power cord floating around in their closet, and they're just getting ready to throw it out or donate it to RE:PC. If not that exact, and convenient, scenario, then maybe other board members have computer junk that can become someone else's computer treasure.

Any board members want to advertise computer stuff they're getting rid of, or computer stuff that they need?

Im pretty sure radio shack has a cord for just about anything.

If it needs the adapter as well, they might have a problem finding it at radio shack. my suggestion would be to get the model number of the laptop and google with that since not all toshibas are going to have the same power requirements. i dont think they should be hard to find on ebay or google shopping.

I got old computer stuff laying around. A good computer part source thread isn't a terrible idea. I normally keep the stuff for backup~ but a 450 watt power supply may not be something I'll ever use again since I keep getting better graphics cards, so I need more power. Someone though can use it, etc~

I heard there was a computer (parts) store down in Fife (or that area) that is taking computer parts and buying them from consumers at flat rates

like $0.50/soundcard or NIC
and $2-$6 per mobo (size depending and such, of course)

i figure they plan to scrap the metal out of everything
but when i ask specifically where/what....NO ONE can give me an answer
ive called around and even gone into a few places to ask.... still cant find it

i know there are places like RePC, but not sure they buy old parts from people.... prolly something to check into...
