fire dancers? anybody into getting together to practice poi?

hey kids...i've been spinning fire for a couple of years now & was thinking it would be cool to get together with some other fire dancers to practice, share ideas, learn new tricks etc.

i use homemade poi & would also like to share ideas for making poi at home (mine are really good but the flame is just not big enough)...also would like to talk about different fuels & how they compare...etc etc etc

maybe we could get together in a park or something to practice during the day...or find somewhere to perform for each other at night...

any interest? ideas?

weekends or week nights are best from me as i'm looking for a 9-5 job...let me know what you think ok?

Well I have a fire troop in pdx called "blazed", and am always looking for new people to spin with. I also breath and we have others that do different fire arts besides spin. hit me up in e-mail or PM.

Hey, yep, ou should call jon or come hang out with the fire troup i'm part of here down in salem (Alchemists) although i think I spend more time doing stuff with blazed but whatever...there are a ton of kids in salem, eugune and corvallis, im me i'd love to chat any time.

i'm so glad to hear your responses...called jon last night but he wasn't home :( i'm going up to tacoma for the weekend but will try to arrange to hook up with some of you kids soon ok? out in colorado (telluride) i met some cool fire dancers from denver, albuquerque etc. but my friend aileen & i were the only ones who did it in my town...i'm really looking forward to sharing with all of you kids :) *kimberlily jumps up & down w/ a big silly grin on her face*

Wow Kimberly! spinning fire! SO THATS what you've been up to in the past couple of years...amazing how peolpe can change and learn such things in that time...seems like only yesterday, I remember kickin' it with you at the partes! lol :) Check out your other post !
