ya'll are lucky!! they're playing here on july 3rd in the EARLY EVENING (like 5 or 6 pm) at some "massive", where Richard Humpty Vission and Bad Boy Bill (blech) are playing too... they're double-booked for atlanta the same night, so they got the EARLY time slots of an event that goes from 2pm-2am... the cost for presales to this event are a measly $35, and $45 at the door... needless to say, i don't want to see them THAT bad...

if you don't know the names Doc Scott and Goldie (well, most people probably know of Goldie), they are HUGE names in drum n bass. they may not be as widely known to "ravers" here like bad company or andy c are, but they're legends to those of us who are really into drum n bass, and they've been around since the early days.

i'm not trying to overexaggerate here or insult anyone; its just something to consider.. there is some amount of higher respect due for these guys.

Well peeps.. I just called The Roseland and they dont have any Goldie show this weekend.. The person on the phone told me it had been canceled and didnt have any further info... All I gota say is this is STRAIGHT BULLSHIT!!!!!!.. I know many people where looking forward to this event. I saw a add today for this event in the new WW. I dont know WTF is up.. You can still buy tickets online as I am typing this. All I gota say is some PDX promoter needs to get Bitch Slapped for this one.. Anyone have any additional info?

If you got to the top link, it takes you to goldies site and the tour info says he's in New Orleans...If you click on the bottom link it takes you to the Roselands scedule guide...but alas, if you click on goldies name from there it takes you to the same web site as the top link. So, anyone gotten in contact with the briliant workers and the Roseland to find out if they have there info straight? Is it on...or is it off?

god, this whole thing is so unorganized its almost funny. its very likely that goldie isn't playing in Portland anymore, but I'm showing up just in case. i dunno why. cuz i dont have anything better to do

anyway, if it doesnt happen... i'm going to call willamette week and find out who put that ad there. my ticket says The Ohm is responsible for the show, and on the site it says Dan Reed. whoever it is, they're in deep shit with me. they didnt A.) promote enough for this show to happen, or B.) didnt have Goldie & Doc Scott confirmed and got us hyped for nothing

I have called the Roseland all day long, and went 2 the location about 1 hour ago from this post... I didn't see anyone inside and no one has picked up the phone all day...As much as I would love to have this event happen.. I have a strong feeling it wont be... This sucks..

Alright so here's the deal. We originally booked the Roseland for the Metalheadz Tour. Then Goldie pulled out and the Tour got moved back. We called and cancelled the show but somehow the Roselands advertising people were never told, so they kept running adds for it. I was over working a concert in Bend, OR. when I got the phonecall that the adds were still being run. I apologize to everyone but there will not be a Metalheadz show in Portland tonight. We are working hard to try and get the tour when it reschedules for later this summer.

i just talked to fastixx (which is next door to the roseland) and the guy said that there was no official word that it was cancelled but he also said there was NOBODY down there and the place was closed.
