In Oly today I went on a field trip with my art posse to see projet MOBILIVRE BOOKMOBILE project, a collective of people who are traveling Canada and the US in an old Airstream with a library of zines and artist's books. The kindness of these folks and their vast and wonderful selection of literary art blew me away. August 11 through the 13th, they will be located in Portland. If you have the chance, definitely go and explore such great things as books made from matchbooks, flipbooks, indy zines, and the like. If you are not into zines or conceptual and artist's books already, you will end up crazy for them after visiting the niftiest bookmobile ever, and best of all, it's free!

When I asked the Mobilivre folks, they thought they'd be on 13th st NE somewhere, by a printshop of some sorts. Because they aren't too familiar with Portland they weren't exactly sure of the location. I bet the Mercury or Willamette Weekly would have more detailed info, and people at PAM's print dept. would probably know, too.
