No, I live in Seattle. :D But I'm heading down to P-Town on the 25th with some friends, what's good for Mexican and Italian food?

For good cheap Mexican food, I'd recommend La Serenita on NE Alberta. Also I hear good things about Taqueria Nueve on NE 28th and Burnside. La Cruda on SE Clinton is great too, and Dot's (only some Mexican food, but a fun bar/restaurant) is right across the street.

On the Italian front, it's all about Alesandro's downtown on 3rd and Morrison. Affordable and REALLY good, this place is the most underrated in PDX. Nice happy hour too. If you want to spend a little more, Pazzo Ristorante, Cafe Mingo, and Tuscany Grill are all good. If you want to spend a lot more, Genoa is the best restaurant in town, period.

Peace.

Tommy Burger? Like the small-California-chain featuring burger-concoctions loaded with chili and onions? That would be something!

I've never eaten there, every time I see it, the chili cheeseburger sign is in the window and it makes me want to puke.

Besides, I doubt it's better than Taco Bell.
